beberebe:Most reasonable words my friend d naija delta as country will not be an inch better than it is even as an independent nation. Considering the level of social vices like cultism and kidnapping. Also the lack of unity among the ethnic groups in the Naija delta will ensure that the entire money in the world will not solve it's problem . 4 Likes |

beberebe:stop embarrassing literacy! I said I don't see Niger Deltans being a nation if Nigeria eventually becomes balkanized. Cos I don't see the long term alignment among the ethnic groups, Ijaw, Urhobo, Efik, Ibibio, Ishekiri et al. Initially now when they have a common enemy in "Lugardian" entity called Nigeria, they are more united to fight the common enemy. Nothing unites more than having a common enemy. Eventually after seeing off the enemy after Nigerian balkanization, they will have different reasons not to be together and having more than a sovereign state. Former Slavics state in the Balkan Peninsula is a typical example. Talking about the introduction of Biafra in the earlier post, if Nigeria balkanizes, won't Biafra exist as a nation bordering the Niger Deltan nation in the North? You think the Biafrans will allow the Niger Deltan nations to exist in peace and not trying to lob/force them into the Biafran nation to have assess to their oil and the atlantic ocean? If you wanna quote me and engage me, do so with intelligence and not ignorance. 5 Likes |

Ukaegbuagbaieni:Young man, it happens like that. If Niger Deltans secede as a nation today, the Igbo tribe among them becomes a minority and nothing else. The only thing they can do is to start fighting the course of alignment with their brothers in Igboland/Biafra. There are Yoruba tribes in Benin Republic and Togo as ethnic group. Are Togo and Benin part of Nigeria? Before the colonial intervention in Yoruba politics, Popo, Sabe and Ketou were in Yoruba's "politicosphere" 2 Likes |

@op, you're not an intelligent analyst. I know your analysis is based on ND crude oil. I bet you don't know the meaning of crude oil reserves. You think it lasts forever. With the current oil daily output ND will be completely depleted before your imaginary ND republic comes. Mind you no recent oil discovery has been found. Crude oil only thrives on technology, without it oil is completely worthless. Think technology, it rocks. 2 Likes |

Abiye001: Logically, it's supposed to be the most developed region in Nigeria presently but what do we have there? NOTHING. infrastructurally, they are backwards.... Bayelsa State is one of the smallest state with lower work force in Nigeria, despite all the huge allocations they receive from Nigeria fed govt, are unable to workers salary. No construction work going on in the State. Rivers State is one of the highest earning States, but what can you boast of in the State. port Harcourt is like every other state capital. every other part of the state no follow. There are critical things that bring about development in a place and one of such is human resources and Niger Deltans I know are lazy People who don't like to work but want fast money. will they develop the region by blocking company gates to depend their pays? will they stop their hostility to whites in the region if they are on their own? 1 Like |
