Have you ever heard of the Green Sahara?
The Fulani are Pastoral Nomadic. I believe the Fulani had an extensive territory thousands of years ago where they could herd their livestock. Nowadays, they are reduced to the Sahel due to dessertification/expansion of the Sahara. If you go to the Sahara, particularly near the Hoggar Mountains, you would find a UNESCO world heritage site callled Tassili n'Ajjer. The earliest pieces of the 15,000 or so rock paintings are thought to be around 12,000 years old. Some people say these paintings show some proto-Fulani traditions.

One thing I like about West Africa is the history and linguistic/ethnic diversity. In one town, it's not impossible for each neighborhood to be speaking a different language from another. Deep history and multiculturalism is a part of the narrative.

Yes, try it. The Grain used to bake injera is known "Teff" and it's becoming one of the world most healthiest food. It was first discovered in Ethiopia and Eritrea between 4000 BC by Agew people.

In case you didn't know, the 11 monolithic rock-hewn churches(UNESCO heritage) were built by Agew people around early 13th century. They were built from a single rock being chiseled.

Nigeria would always have the highest number of everything in Africa (real or unreal) because one out of every five African is a Nigerian. This doesn't mean it's a common or accepted practice in Nigeria. This is news to most of us here. I don't know why you Kenyans sometimes find it hard to grasp something simple.

Hmm, i know that Shuwa arabs in Chad refer to themselves as Baggara, but am not sure about the Nigerian shuwa arabs.
Nigerian Shuwa arabs are adressed as such all over northern Nigeria.
An uncle of mine married one of them. I have never heard them rejecting the name.

Infact no one calls them Baggara in Nigeria.

Also I've only had raw fish though and it was good. I've never really tried raw meat, so I don't know how kitfo would be like for me.
