I know a man who earned a PHd in political science, and he makes his living today driving a taxi-cab to earn loose change in America's rural deep south. No do, no do, Ojukwu without good military knowledge and common sense, under the guise of protecting ibos declared Biafra taking all of today's Niger Delta (SS), marching across to the militarily neutral Mid West (Edo & Delta states) and annexing it. Then, he planned and launched his worst military offensive against the Yoruba West deploying several tens of thousands (maybe close to a hundred thousand or more) of fully armed soldiers to approach from Ore, breach the SW defences and march straight to Lagos (deep in the heart of Yorubaland), capture and destroy it and then await orders from Ojukwu on how the West will be governed. The order was a kill, no-capture and scorched earth policy all with the cover of "liberation" of the West.

Ojukwu and his ibos failed massively because less than 200 Nigerian soldiers mostly from the West set up a defense about 40 km from the borders of Ore and set up strategy to funnel them into the cold pass, at the bridge. There, waves after waves of biafran soldiers were destroyed until they fled. The NA finished the business by ensuring the total capitulation of Biafra and Ojukwu fled as a cross dressed woman to Abidjan.''

This is just a crap from Lagos- Ibadan newspaper propaganda, Nigeria declare war on Biafra first and Biafra military was marching towards Lagos to seize it because lagos was the capital of Nigeria and Nigeria sit of power, had it been that it was now the Biafra military will march towards Abuja, save all this yoruba land crap,yet Nigerian forces was operating in yoruba land and you didnt chase them away.

The reason I asked was simple, he claimed We will fight to the last man and when push came to shove, he ran. After all the bravado, he left his people to reap the wrath. Are you claiming that was valiant. I get it, he was the commander, but a true captain goes down with the ship. Seriously I see this as a setback to the Biafran struggle. is it a new slang or i'm just not getting it. How will you equate Tribe to Race?

Anyways if I weren't a "Yoruba Muslim" I would have joined their movement, I do not mind a people clamouring for seccession I just fear it might not be timely. Actually If the Biafrans would choose Igbo as their national language rather than English, they would forever have my respect.
