In Nigeria once you align and stay in the camp of the power brokers, you can be as corrupt as you can and nothing will happen.
The only way you can be prosecuted for corruption is if you are an outsider to the power brokers.

Some day when 9ja joins the league of true democracies, people would come to appreciate GEJ.

GEJ knew the problem of fighting corruption, the many vested interests and shouts of victimisation & tribalism, so chose fighting it at source. Not chasing after deed is done & lawyers using all tricks in the book to delay/scupper justice. Instead use BVN, scrapping the fraudulent oil subsidy, and checking ghost workers via electronic/digital stuff, etc. But people said no.

Those who wore the toga of anti-corruption to power, we now know they do selective justice/persecution.

Time will truly tell.
