My German Shepherd has wound on both ears from unknown causes. Flies perched and disturbs it and making the wound spread.
Doctor already recommended a cream but it's difficult getting it to take the cream each day.
Is there a medication or alternative to this treatment? Thanks

You already have the cream, find ways to use it.

Keep ur dog away from flies, find a clean place with good ventilation where flies can't get through and keep ur dog, also try a regular clean up on the ear with hydrogen or detol to avoid any other infections or skin irritation. Do this for 3wks and u r on ur way to getting a remarkable result.

My dog once had injury on his ear, ear injuries are very difficult to heal and first of all keep flies away from the injury they bite. then use cotton wool and water to clean the injury, then buy GV from a chemist apply on the wound daily, as far as you keep him away from flies with time the injury would heal and his furs would grow back.
but if the injury heals and his furs still haven't grown back then you expose him to flies again, the injury would return...
