Are you a child? Be serious. Some of us had chicks in the past and we in our sinful life didn't joke with Ramadan. My chick who chilled at my crib back in the day was realy Hot. But God first. It was a huge mistake I made having a babe I wasn't married to stay in my crib. But none of my cousins or naphews made that mistake after me. I ensured that. Go ask the girls hand in marriage or just let her go.

Should we marry every girl we date ??

That's why it's called girlfriend and boyfriend

How many of your ex girlfriends did you marry ??

If you would want, you can scan the internet on what the scriptures said about that, I bet you will find none. Having said this, I am part of people that believed that there are some islamic rules that had gone stale because as at the time Islam was being revealed, and as it was what is happening at that time, there are no rules that cover such incidences or even at that, things had changed from that time, in such circumstances, I use my common sense, believe in God, fear of Allah to judge my next action. If I were you in this scenario, I will allow her to cook for me during ramadan with pure mind. As for those who are saying girlfriend/boyfriend arent allowed, am sure if islam was being revealed as at date, and our Prophet is still alive, there would probably be revelations to cover such, because time and tide had changed so much that friends exist between lady and boys these days and no matter how we pretend to hide under religion, there is nothing we can do about it.

What is your Prove Mr Man,

Kakamorufu:
Haram. A lady that you haven't paid her bride price isn't allowed to cook for you. If you eat the food, your fasting is as good as starving yourself
Re: Can I Eat The Food Prepared By My Girlfriend During Ramadan by Nobody: 5:10pm On May 26, 2017
In My opinion you can eat her food provided its not Haram, if its only food, But if you transgress and eat the other food, You have not only committed a Major Sin, but you actually did it at a time you should be closer to Allah and pray fervently for your needs, such as getting a job and marrying that girl.

I dont know your level of self control but please avoid been very close with her if you are weak.

lastly next time study your religion or asked learned people and stop coming to Nairaland.

May Allah make it easy for you and for all of us.

Allahu alam.

The only thing these guys think about during Ramadan is food. Food, Food, Food! You begin to ask yourself what's the point of starving fasting. I'm not talking only Nigeria here I've been chanced to spend some time in an African Arab country during Ramadan. You need to see the way the trolleys are packed full with food by customers in the supermarkets during Ramadan. Starting Work hours is shifted from 8 to 9a.m and closing from 5/6 to 4/5p.m. Everyone acts lazy and put the blame on fast.

There's nothing special in the fast as they only miss one meal in a day which is lunch, most people who work already miss a meal in a day. Iftar and sahur is met with lots of food binging!

Hypocrite! You too should try it (fasting) and see how hard/fun it is...
I'd explain to your better but you're a No brainer ..

Your reply is flawed I don't know how you practice your Islam but a lady preparing Sahur for me is not as bad as it seems if we are not married
What about if she was a neighbour or a friend who I have no intimate relationship with?
I hear you oo. am just saying what I've heard preached numerous times. so whatever rocks your boat.

Ramadan has never affected my output at work. whatever task am given, I will carry it out with joy and happiness. even some have asked me, are you really fasting, with this kind of morale you have during this period.

This is Islam, you speak with prove from The Quran, Hadiths, or Qisas (Fiqh) or you shut up.

Not up for debate.

Whats the big deal about missing lunch. That's what you do in your fast. When I was still a student, a lot of times I eat only dinner. Not because I didn't have food or money. It's because I was too obsessed with early morning tutorials that I would not have time for cooking and eating in the morning until I came back in the evening.

Islamically, having a girlfriend/boyfriend is haram, though, the food itself may be haram due to it's source, and it may be halal due to it being food.. ..so, it may be haraamun-ligairihi( haram due to what is associated with it)..

Does this one even know the meaning of hypocrite? Why would I bother trying to starve myself? It is a pointless exercise to me. Of what benefit is pretending to starve oneself for a month in the name of some meaningless spiritual exercise but meanwhile your actions and thoughts are 100% the hefty meals you will eat at iftar and sahur? It always about the food. Infact, you guys consume more food at Ramadan than the average non-fasting person.

But does it actually concern you Are you our God who chose to make fasting easy on us? Did he tell you he is judging on us only based on our abstinence from food during Ramadan? Have you not heard dat we are to eat just before the expiration time in the morning and break ASAP in the evening? Abi u also do not know dat unlike every other religion our 30 days fast is COMPULSORY and any missed one must be covered up for later? Bet why must u even bother yourself over our issue sef? My dear, in a nutshell, dats how Allah (swt) has asked us to fast n we can only be grateful to him. Overfeeding has no place in Islam but are free to eat healthy during this period. Thank you for understanding.
