At d rate d present governor is going,d situation will even become worse cos d few roads Sam Egwu and Elechi built in d villages are almost all gone wtout upgrade or replacement.
In terms of rural infrastructure,Elechi tried so much,at least,d unity bridges he built opened up hitherto forgotten places.
As much as d beautification projects this present governor is doing is good,Ebonyi state is regrettably a poor state and that should not be our priority.
Udensi and govt house roundabout have been built,destroyed and rebuilt twice,abi I lie?What greater waste is that?The money used to fuel generators for streetlights in federal highways can change d life of several rural communities in d state.
Why so much attention on cosmetics?
And yes,I am from Ebonyi state and visit often.

I made the comment in a previous thread on this issue. That UDensi rounabout and Govt, is becoming almost laughable. Floodlights, waterfountain, discolights, etc, etc, all FOR WHAT IS he trying to build LAs Vegas?? For such a poor state with so many competing priorities??

(BTW I heard some crazy story behind the Udensi roundabout. . . but lets not go there!)

Yes, we all know he's doing an fantastic job in repairing roads and building bridges, and, to be fair, even outside the AI (Afikpo road, Ugwulangu-Okposi, Effium road, Oshiri, etc, are all being renovated). And to his credit, salaries are not being owed.

However there are other areas that need desperate attention. Take the health sector for instance. My job takes me to primary and secondary health centers in the state, and they are in VERY poor shape. Almost everything is donor driven, which should not be.

Interestingly, a state on emergency was declared in the health sector in the early days of his administration, and we were hoping for improvement, but toe years down the line, no tangible improvement.

I know his apologists will say its one by one, but seriously, I do think, with all due respect, that he's not prioritizing properly. Ebonyi has one of the lowest allocation from FG and its IGR is equally low. We cant afford such luxuries as street lights when pregnant women can't receive proper natal care in a so-called general hospital.

Muslims are hypocrite even during fasting period. If they are predominantly Igbo Muslims, why is Governor, senators, chairmen and concerned people in Ebonyi are Igbo Christians. Do you know there is a good number of pure Hausa Christians in Kano, Katsina, Southern Zaria in Kaduna, Kebbi, etc. We have a good number of Christian indegenes in Yobe and Borno State. Even if lie is one of your qualities, please for Ramadan sake, just be truthful

Do u want to talk about lagos? u think lagos is underdeveloped? visit these places, magodo, alapere, festac, gbagada, ilupeju, ajao estate, ikeja etc. all these places arent even on the island. lagos has been able to use the funds it gets from the FG into developmental projects. yes there are slums in Lagos so also are there slums in America and other developed climes. u cant just bring a weak excuse of the slums in lagos state at par with its huge budgets and compare it with the gross underdevelopment, suffering, total neglect of the people of ebonyi state

lol i used to hear of that place (ivo) but never been there. most villages in ebonyi state hardly have electricity. the two major cities in ebonyi are abakaliki and afikpo, while others are in oblivion.
their public schools sef are suffering, one would wonder if FG doesnt give ebonyi state any form of allocation
