Water is not running anywhere in Abakaliki! All the industrial projects brought by the former Governor, Mr. Elechi, have either been abandoned or rubbished by Umahi's administration. Check out Oferekpe Water scheme, Ukawu water scheme, Ebonyi Pipes production Company Ltd, Ebonyi Waste Recycing Industries Ltd, Califco Power Plant Ltd etc.etc., all these were Elechi's projects abandoned. The only one among them that was actively producing pipes was the Pipes Company but the love for money and inability to separate Politics from engineering made the Governor to use his brother who is a lawyer to replace one young PhD holder who was said to have trained in everything about Pipes Production and who assisted Elechi to procure the machines and installed them as well. Umahi could have bn good but he is unstable with decision and works with text messages from tomato Sellers. Similarly, 3 water fountains at govt house, Udemezue roundabout, Abacha roundabout are all same designs, look boring, monotonous and lack awesomeness of what one could see at Uyo Akwaibom State. By and large, his overhead bridges at PRESCO roundabout, Spera in Deo Junction are fantastic but it's not necessary at Ebonyi Hotel Junction. What Umahi regime should do is to create more new roads that will engender new satellite towns around Abakaliki to help decongest the town and reduce costs of house rent. People are seeing artistic works on all walls & fences and putting disco lights inside water fountains as mere cosmetics. He should extend development to rural areas but I doubt because he already has overbloated his regime with numerous appointments of techical assistants. He's trying his best, anyway!

l acknowledged the fact that the present administration led by Engr umahi is make Ebonyians in diaspora proud. Ebonyi state is in front line in all social media both in newspapers but sir let your good works not be on one sided pls extent the good work to Afikpo North the heartbeat of our dear state.tnx

We are dying of poverty. No water, no motorable roads, nothing. We are stuck in the stone age plssss. Na beg we dey beg. Stop siting everything in Abakeleke. As things are right now, Ebonyi is the worst state in Southern and Middle belt Nigeria. Same with Abakiliki, worst capital eve!

All our young men have all gone to the West to engage in street hawking and petty 'boy boy' jobs.

and again he should tell us what Afikpo people did to him for neglecting Afikpo, he is constructing roads and giving street lights to all the local govts but has refused to award anyone in Afikpo(a home for the intellects, education backbone of ebonyi). even though he contested with prof.Onyebuchi Chukwu, he still won in Afikpo...we all know that Afikpo people dont give an ish about ebonyi politics because they still believe they are not supposed to be in the same state with abakaliki people but that should not give the govt the right to neglect them, afikpo people are wonderful and intelligent people,if you are from ebonyi you will know this, that town has suffered negligence from past govts n is still suffering it from this present govt....

Tell me which one is a lie among all those things l listed, have you been to Afikpo to see the kind of negligence that town has suffered,a town that first experienced civilization in ebonyi state,a town that has the highest number of educated people in ebonyi state, since the time of Sam Egwu the town has suffered negligence,its being developed by Afikpo people and yet its the second developed town after abakaliki.


For our son contesting n losing to Dave, we all know what happened in that election, if that election was to be done the right way Dave wouldnt have won and Onyebuchi Chukwu as an Afikpo man never wanted to make trouble with him, even after the primaries when onyebuchi left Afikpo people supported Dave n voted in mass for him against Edon who is from ebonyi north.

Now explain what could be Daves reason for awarding contracts in almost everywhere and no one is given to Afikpo
