Police have arrested a woman who was pictured lighting fire to the body of Ghanaian soldier who was lynched few days ago.
Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama was mistakenly lynched and his body burnt by a mob at dawn on Monday. He had gone out jogging when the incident occured in a town called Diaso.
Five persons were earlier arrested in connection to the incident and are currently in police custody.

What exactly is her offence? She saw an armed man in mufti approach her, in an area already notorious for armed robbery, and then she panicked and ran away to tip off people nearby that an armed robber might be on the loose. I would have done the same thing. Most security conscious and panicky people would do the same thing.

There is nothing incriminating here if you ask me, unless it can be proven that she knew the man's identity as a soldier, and deliberately and maliciously misinformed the mob that killed him.

I don't know how true your story is, but I guess she and the mob were all deaf to hear the man who must have told them that he's a soldier. If they weren't illiterates and wicked people, they would have asked for evidence of his claims of being a soldier, which would have led them to his wife and kids. But no, they must burn him while the crook leaders walk free amidst praises from them.

Oh well, guess I didn't get the full story. If she actually participated in the lynch operation (and even lit the match as you said), then of course she is culpable.

I thought her only 'offence' was informing the mob that a suspected armed robber was on the loose.

The soldiers were sent to protect miners and mining operations. Why didn't the mob hand the late Captain over to the army base for verification since the captain claimed to be a soldier? This is sad man! I am trying to avoid both the video and any related pictures. ALUU 4 is still fresh in my mind.

She knew the guy was a military man. It all boils down to galamsey (illegal mining in Ghana). She definitely knew he was a military personnel.

Ghanaian military are so civil. I am surprised the did not torture her and shot here. Qudos to them. Hopefully the woman should be given a death sentence!!!
