MummyJaygirls:I did. It will establish where the person resides. Provide it if you can. In addition and if possible, add scanned copies of your relative's PR card, medical card and any other document that can prove your relationship e.g. for siblings, birth certificates showing that you have same parents would be fine. A short LOE may also be a good idea to enable the VO connect the dots. @ebho Well done! ![]() |

kingomallam:I cannot speak on your marriage because I am not a Lawyer, though I read about the development in the news. On your POF there is nothing wrong with having funds in multiple accounts as long as they sum up in excess or equal to the minimum amount required for your family size. However, the Tbills in your company name belongs to your company despite the fact that you are the sole signatory. I think we need to understand and properly distinguish ourselves from our business especially when these businesses are limited liability companies. Even if they are just enterprise - the sole purpose of starting a business is to ensure continuity/going concern. For avoidance of doubt - POF MUST be in your name or your accompanying spouse name or a joint account of you and your spouse. It should not be a joint account with an external third party or be in the name of an external party. Your business/company is a third party. |

peppers:No! My response applies to someone who in his/her application claimed to have a relative in Canada with either PR or citizenship. |

40manlappy:Ok thanks, I didn't attach utility bills but included their pr cards and passports. I would raise CSE in that case for additional docs then. |

MummyJaygirls:Wait! Since you have already submitted your application, I don't think you should worry then. Afterall, you didn't claim any points through the relative. Please, let our more experienced members "put mouth" in the matter so that you don't take an unnecessary step. cc: vcole, Gymme, debbiejosh |

grammy010:Hello, I will appreciate if you can help me with someone's details in UNILAG for the speedy processing. You can send via PM as I don't know how to do it. I applied for my hubby M.sc transcript in Unilag since on the 4th of April and I was patiently waiting that WES would receive it after 6weeks. Coincidentally, In Mid May WES status changed to Document received- Review in progress ( this was after certificates and B.sc transcript have been sent). So I had thought Unilag had sent theirs too. Just last week I saw status changed back to Awaiting required documents , I was surprised and then wrote to WES to verify what went wrong.I later got their reply stating Unilag transcript as not yet received. Hubby went back to Unilag and made enquiry and to our shock they did not process the transcript atall. No one could give reason why it was left out. They apologised and said they will process. Al along I tried following up by calling the numbers on the application site but no one picks. It was bad of hubby and I not to have gone back to the school and check though. Pls ensure you follow up with your transcript application. |

Below is a screenshot of the IRCC's latest guideline for POF as regards eAPR applications submitted from January 2016 and beyond. Please let ALL persons take note of what it says. I am quite uncomfortable with the recent notion that your required funds can be in a name other than yours. While it may be "acceptable" for the pof to be in a spouse's account, that is a discretionary decision that the VO chooses to take. It is NOT the guideline. Also find below the IRCC guideline for lock in date for age. Someone brought this up earlier and it may not have been noted by ITA hopefuls and recipients. Worthy of mention is that your age is locked in at eAPR SUBMISSION and not ITA receipt. So if you have a birthday after receiving ITA and before eAPR submission, you would lose 5 points for age and should re-calculate your CRS to be sure it doesn't fall below the cut off for your draw before submission.

Adeniyitob:i was able to get my wifey n I credential evaluation by WES completed by thorough follow up with Unilag. My advice to any unilag alumni, please follow up your request bumper to bumper. If you are Lagos base, please go to the school, senate building ,student records . if you are not in Lagos ,you may get some one in lag to go to school on your behalf.Forget the info on the Unilag transcript request site that you do not need to come to school, you may wait till eternity because their hands are full with lots of request. My 2 cent! |

| Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Boss13: 7:56am On Jun 05, 2017 |
ebho:Get the 6 month statement of account, a covering letter from your Bank in their template and submit the damn thing as P.A. And if you are a fidgeting type, just explain using LOE that your spouse is submitting their account as POF. Who should submit this document - YOU The Primary Applicant. Your spouse cannot submit this, your spouse is not even the one applying. It is better your spouse submit their account, which shows more transparency, than them transferring the money to you. |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by MissShakara: 8:40am On Jun 05, 2017 |
This POF issue has been over flogged already. Now, if the money is in your spouses account, to be on the safe side and comply with the rules, why don't you have your spouse transfer all that money to you, write LOE and also add your spouse's statement showing he/she had that money for a while (this is optional). Someone asked about company account owned jointly, said he had about 12M there. This is what I suggest, move that money to your personal account, write an LOE that the money was moved from your cooperate account, add your CAC document showing the company belongs to you. I think that solves it. |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Boss13: 9:07am On Jun 05, 2017 |
MissShakara:Please we need to stop this! We just finished explaining this on a WhatsApp forum only to come back here and see the same thing again. Your accompanying spouse can have the POF. What is the difference between the accompanying spouse submitting their statement of account after transferring to their partner and explaining in LOE and the spouse just submitting the statement of account and explain with LOE. The details, passport, digital photo, personal history, travel history, family relatives, education and even work experience of this spouse has been captured and documentary evidences provided. Finally, you have indicated that this accompanying spouse is coming with you to Canada and that means he/she is BRINGING THAT MONEY TO CANADA FOR CHRIST SAKE! JESUS!!! |

percee17:Take note of what boss13 and missShakara said. Your business is not just an investment, its also a going concern. CIC wants you to have unencumbered funds to be able to relocate. A business account makes that complicated. My opinion is that you are better off transferring the required funds to your account(s). The issue is which narration can you justify. One other option is to say it is EQUITY REFUND or RETURN - if you can show your initial investments into the business with bank statements, etc. You MAY also need a board resolution. These things are not complex, its just the way businesses should operate and keep records. I am also thinking that you NEED to include this business as part of your employment or personal history; because you are a co-owner /founder and carry out some activities for the coy. Can the gurus confirm this? |

tollu:My brother if Na evening you show me this thing I for just quickly grab a bottle. I really don't understand the confusion. What last name does your spouse answer to? You and your spouse share the same last name. Your spouse is accompanying you to Canada. Please if you feel otherwise. Kindly call CIC for clarification. All I can say to this is that it has been proven without failure. It is not just Mek I test am, it is the right thing to do if you are in this situation. |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Boss13: 9:44am On Jun 05, 2017 |
studyexec:Very well said. Despite them being signatories doesn't give them the right to transfer monies from the business account to their personal account - though this is done very well in Nigeria; but for tax purpose it's very wrong. It means you are not paying enough tax to the government. You only pay PAYE based on your paid employment; but you are not declaring your entire income to the government and hence undercutting your taxes. This is a crime!!! I would add that they show little evidence of them owing that business. A strict VO may ask for their tax clearance. A sales transaction to the business may be sufficient to move funds from the business account to their personal account. The question that may be running in the VO's mind is - how come you work full time and still own a business? |
