When soldier displayed wat he is been trained for people will be condemning them. And if soldier displayed leniency people will say he is not acting as as a soldier. A Ghanian soldier played it soft with the civilian immediately the civilian tagged him a robber and lynched him brutally. Soldiers do your work jare!

Mr man, you are the surety in this matter so you should be ready to take what comes to you. The way I see it is that you and your friend do not intend to pay your aunt. I also do not accept that you have not been in touch with your friend all this while. Since you are now successful you should just pay your aunt. Unless you are saying she should forgo the money which she doesn't intend to do.

Seriously OP, your aunty is really merciful...
If it were me, you would be cooling off in prison because it is obvious you connived with your friend to swindle your aunt.
So your aunty should be trekking while you enjoy comfort of a carhuh

IMPOSSIBLE!

And to other posters blaming the aunt, if you were in her shoes you would do worse.
The feeling of being swindled of your hard earned money is depressing

For failing to pay the debt he owed his Aunt, a Nigerian man who has been identified as Onwume Frank was allegedly chained to a Iron Pole by army officers, as they reportedly used cutlass and dangerous weapon to break every part of his joint.

Here’s what Harrison his friend wrote;

“I introduced a friend based on trust to my aunt who is a car dealer.he came to buy my aunt’s faulty car for 550k without dropping any peny with the agreement that he would have to fix the car first before he starts paying .
So due to the trust I have for him,the car was given to him by my aunt.Then after a while he stopped picking his calls,my aunt now asked me to take her to my friend’s family and which I did.when we got there,we met with the parents and they told my aunt to give them some time to pay her,but after a while she got angry cos she never heard from them. then she called me that she was going to the guy’s family to tell them to get ready as she’s going to come with a native doctor to do some native stuff since they don’t want to pay.

So after warning them,she went with the juju man and did what she did.then after my aunt noticed I was beginning to be successful, she turned to me that I should pay for the car. But I told her to give me sometime to look for my friend as I was already making my own moves about getting him.but my aunt was just too obstinate that she started asking me to sell my only car so I can pay her if I don’t have the money.
Now,because I refused to sell my car or handed it over,the son came to my house with a Hilux that contained five army officers.They took me to their base at ifunnaya street in Asaba ,handcuffed me on iron pole and started hitting my back brutally with cutlass and other harmful weapon”

The same Nlanders condemning this act are the same people calling the Ghanaian soldier a coward and saying the entire community should have been razed to the ground and everyone killed like it's done in Nigeria. So Nigerians deserve the kind of soldiers and police they got because of their hypocrisy.

Op, you knowingly connived with your friend to take her car for that long and refused to return the car nor the money as agreed. The beating wasn't much.

First, why did it take you so long to get your friend that you guaranteed/stood for if there was no criminal intent. Your friend took the car and she has been coming for her money and you and your friend hid the car from her.

They should beat you more. Nonsense.
