This shows that the 'rich also cry'. This is the state of Victoria Island Garden City VGC after rainfall in Lagos today. Reports have it that some major roads have been rendered inaccessible after being overtaken by raging floods in the area as road users and motorists lament.

According to reports, the early morning downpour in Lagos which resulted in heavy flooding in VGC caused heavy traffic from Mega Chicken to VGC leading to Ajah fly-over.

Which elite? Pls I beg to differ. Things must be done properly. How many times do you see photos of banana island flooding like this? Armstedam is lower than sea level, but it never gets this flooded.
Watch out and see if the new eko Atlantic City will be flooded after completion.

Even most advanced country doesn't have control over flood or any natural disaster, they only manage it well.

The Lekki marshlands are drifting shoals (basically shifting sand) which act as a buffer zone between the fresh water lagoon and adjourning Atlantic Ocean. The Lekki marshland is also below sea-level. The stupidity of filling up the marshland and allowing unchecked human dwellings and development is what we are witnessing today. Another gross foolishness is the Eko Atlantic project.

This occurrence also happen in some developed countries. The water table perhaps water level on the island most especially VI, Ikoyi, Lekki is high though the drainage system is not big enough to divert the erosion.
