why is it that it is that exact player that we dont know even @ shackle04 he is a bench warmer and besides, wenger was given 150 milllion to buy players am so sure that when the transfer window is closed he would not use up to half of the money or cant u remember around 2005/2006 he used about 40m-50m to buy 11 players at once (a whole team) the only thing was that a goalkeeper was not included if u doubt me u can check google . Top clubs like r.madrid and barcelona had to spend to become dominant forces in european football. This is one of the major reasons why arsenal are yet to win the champions leauge *GREED*

Sure i get your point.. but buying a playing on a free transfer doesn't mean the player is not good enough.. lots of superstar have bn on free transfer such as ibrahimovic,Eto'o,Ballack Drogba and all ..

But in Wenger's world, he preferred to spend wise which the end result always end bad for the North London club..
