I have one question for you. Why didn't the rest tribes in Nigeria import the goods they needed directly by themselves all these while. Was anything stopping them? Why did they rely on Igbo?

All these you plenty talk. You sound like a dunce try a feel smart
Actually the fact that the rest tribes didn't import things for themselves proved to be the blessing for the Igbo people.

But if you have a blessing and you are not grateful for or you abuse by boastfulness, chest-beating and name-calling, even that will be taken away from you.

The present reccesion and Government policies had opened you people up to your short-comings: Impatience and insatiability. Its hard for you guys to count your blessings... hence you lose.

Garrirevenge:
PLENTY JOKERS, PLENTY COMEDY.
Emeka(real name) is in Lagos,
married with 3 kids and you see
him locking his plaza anytime and
every time in support of Biafra.
Emeka recently bought two plots of land around Badagry and
already the foundations to a 4
bedroom masterpiece is taking
shape on that land. Emeka is from
Anambra state, a single pin he
owns not to his name in the village. Yet in Lagos, Emeka goes
about shouting for all to hear
'Biafra or I die'.
.
.
Musa(not real name) is in Kaduna, tired of a constant nagging
national anthem from Emeka,
Musa assumes a potentially
dangerous identity and declares a
90 days ultimatum telling the
Emeka's that all of them can leave his domain and disappear to their
Biafra. Failure to do so, they
would be forcefully evicted.
.
.
Dapo(maybe it is me, maybe it is not) is falling for a pretty
intelligent damsel whom he is yet
to tell how he feels about her. He
is worried that he as a Nigerian
won't be in love with another
Nigerian but rather a foreigner called Biafran. What an anomaly,
for he would be needing to travel
from one country into another
just to see his in-laws who were
once neighbors but now
foreigners. .
.
Dapo's case is small, love they
say can break barriers, although
who knows how much a Biafran
pound would exchange for when the time for dowry ever comes.
For it is often said that the dowry
to marry from that region in
Nigerian Naira can make a young
man hug a transformer, how
much more would it be in Biafran pounds. Just hope by then Dapo
won't tell the Oba of Lagos(that
one that told Emeka to jump into
the Lagoon) to allow him dive into
the water when he is told to bring
3 billion Biafran pounds which would be about #300 million
Nigerian Naira before he can
marry their beautiful Abian
princess. That is if they even
agree to allow him after the
second civil war that led to a separation.
.
.
Musa the unknown spokesperson
declaring absolute and beautiful
bunkum on behalf of the entire Northern youth is already getting
a warning from his sensible
governor who is ordering that all
such irredentist fanning the
embers of tribal war in his state
be arrested. What a governor, if only Emeka's governors aren't
cowards and follow the footsteps
of the Kaduna mallam, our unity
might not be as shaky as it is
right now.
. .
However, in my true life fiction, it
is Emeka one needs to pity the
most. Emeka who for once
haven't held his governors,
chairmen, senators, representatives and himself
responsible for the neglect in his
region. Emeka who thinks all
Igbos scattered worldwide hold
the same views as his and would
point fingers to all others in a constant self-absorbing manner
that selfishly belittles the pain and
neglect other regions suffer too.
Emeka would mostly act as if the
North and West don't have poor
people who have no hope. To imagine that it is this same Emeka
that statistics can prove a penny
of his money is not going into the
development of his region(unlike
Musa and Dapo who still
contribute a little to their regions) screaming the most for a break
up of his country is just too much
palm wine taken in excess.
.
.
Musa, Dapo and the strong headed Emeka need to come together and
truly see that the problem is not
themselves but those who have
selfishly enriched their pockets at
the detriment of their people
while posing as their leaders. If only they can stop the joke, stop
the comedy and the call to shed
innocent blood and go after those
who have held them in bondage
for decades, then they can have
true liberation for themselves as Nigerians and not as breakout
factions acting as puppets for the
same selfish greedy leaders using
religion and region to separate
them.
. .
Musa, Dapo and the ever
industrious Emeka, Oya give
yourselves brain today. No more
jokes, no more comedy. You can
unite to shame your common enemies. It is very possible, yes
it is doable for us to have a united
prosperous Nigeria that shall
respect the rights of every man.
My name is MICHAEL ILORI, and I
just want to make Nigerian sense

This is this negative perception from most Nigerians that Igbos are only landlords outside south east and not at home.

I have few ibo friends, they all have houses in Lagos and that is their second houses the first guess where its located? Igbo land!

if i may ask. What do u want us to learn from history ? Is it to 4get Biafra and have statis quo or what exactly ? Is it by force to coexist ? At all cost ? If we must coexist at all cost, why ain't your leaders want to compromise ? Must all sacrifices be from Igbos in order not to have history repeat itself ?

This time around, we will correct history perfectly

That's lame of him. Most people who obeyed the sit-at-home where fearful of their businesses being harmed one way or the other...not "obedience" as it where. Cos the first order wasn't 'obeyed' like that

This is because of the fact that many Igbos and Igbo-businesses will close without Nigeria. The ones shouting biafra are mostly those who use to import the goods that a now banned, and they are now jobless.

The other lot asking it's people to come back home do not know or foresee it's implication.
Can you feed and accommodate them? As stingy an greedy as you guys can be, whats the guarantee that
you wont even poison some of them and take their wealth? What happens to their businesses and properties
in the north? You just ranting "come back come back" as if you know what it means for those Igbos you are calling.

If the small recession that's so biting can so distress them, war or relocation will so bite them that this recession and joblessness will be like flexing in Sheraton Hotel and working in NNPC.

Good! Recession is all over Nigeria, who does it affect consequently? The business man--The Igbo man.
Thats why the sudden noisyness and paranoia of the Igbos shouldn't be taken serious.

If it happens, Igbos in the north will be wasted and all that wondrous achievement of its people
will be wasted due to thoughtlessness of NK and some myopic ones.

The northerners marry 4 wives. they will replace the ones you kill in the SE in just one night of 4ckery.
Your precious sons and daughter in the north will be wasted over an avoidable issue.

It seems at every point of Igbo existence, a lunatic is always sent in form of a freedom fighter to come waste
Igbo achievement. The joke is on Igbos always.
You made zero sense! I am in Owerri, IPOB made it very clear that it was going to be a peaceful stay at home on the 30th may, Rochas & commissioner of police assured people of protection to their businesses & on that day police choppers where flying low over several Eastern cities yet Igbos decided on their own volition to stay at home! Rocha's even warned market leaders to open major markets or face "severe" consequences & the markets were left open, yet no single soul came to buy or sell, even banks, offices, transport companies etc obeyed! FYI, Igbos are the least affected by recession for several reasons 1) Igbos have the largest diaspora population in Nigeria & remittances alone has cushioned the effect of recession. 2) Igbos dominate the distribution, importation, retail sectors etc of the economy, unlike Yoruba's that rely on paid employment/government or A.b.o.k.I.s that rely on government patronage/welfare, Igbos will easily increase the price of their goods to stay afloat, since they already control the chain from China to Onitsha, Aba, Nnewi, Lagos or Kano & even across Sub Saharan Africa.
3) Igbos are naturally very aggressive, and excel in areas where others will fail. Here in the East, its the civil servants that are suffering recession because their salaries are either reduced or not paid on time, which is what applies in other states even in worse form. 4) Igbos believe in extended family system more than any other group in Nigeria, so the effects of recession is further reduced because people will always seek help from one uncle or aunty when their parents are lacking. Stop giving excuses my dear, Igbos have completely lost faith in Nigeria and are now putting their money where their mouth is!

How to achieve Biafra in ten years or less
1.Form a political party with self-determination and self-rule for Igbo people as a platform. United Progressive Party(UPP) may already be positioning itself to be that kind of a party.

2.Elect majority of the region’s local and state government officials from that party. This will solve the problem of who is supporting Biafra and who is not amongst the ethnic minorities around the Igbo area.

3.Have two-third of elected officials sent to Abuja elected from that political party. You will be sending a clear message across Nigeria and the world, and the agenda of these officials in Abuja will not be ambiguous.

4.Once two-third of all elected Igbo officials are from this political party with a platform that says self-governance and self-determination, a pseudo- referendum would have taken place.

5.The party can demand a regional parliament in Enugu to govern themselves, similar to what happened in Scotland and Quebec. At this point, the government in Abuja will concede to demands to devolve power from the center as they do everything to delay the inevitable.

6.After a few years of regional governance, if so desired, then demand a formal referendum from Nigeria. A referendum to leave Nigeria can take place in 6-8 years time.

7.If the referendum passes, Biafra can be a state of its own.
Most sensible comment I've read so far. I hope the igbos will read this and start working towards it instead of insulting and picking fights with every other tribe and trying to annex every state to their Biafra map.

Nice one. Strategic thinking is the way. Not chest beating

Dear Educator,

There is a saying that if you go to a place in Nigeria and you didnt find an Igbo man, leave.
There is also what is known as 'Igbo Must Sell'.

All these talks of the fact that Igbos left the NE and penetrated all nooks and cranny of Nigeria.
based on your education these Igbos are just hanging out grin

Nooo when did Igbos sell anything in Nigeria shocked

It is Ghanians that coe to Nigeria, buy from Igbos then leave. grin

I know you are travelling out to produce, after that, you keep it or consume it yourselves and do not sell to Nigerians.
For example.....the local market in our cities in south east.....is still in existence and doing far better than the market in north or west where as the petronizers and Hausa's nor Yoruba's or is it?

Analogy of OPPRESSOR & FOOLISH CITIZENS. (A case study of Nigeria citizens & their elected oppressors). During the Soviet dictatorship of Joseph Stalin. He was a brutal dictator with mind of his own. On one fateful day, Stalin came to Politburo meeting with a live chicken. Standing in front of audience, He started to pluck the feathers of the live chicken off one by one. The chicken trembled in pain, blood tricking out of its pores. It gave out grievous cries, but Stalin being a cruel dictator continued without remorse plucking the feathers out until the chicken was completely Unclad. After which, he threw the chicken on the ground. The Unclad chicken was staggering in pain. Stalin goes into his pocket and from his pockets, he took out some chicken food and started to throw it at the poor & hapless creature. The poor chicken in pain started eating and Stalin started walking towards his seat. As he walked away, he kept dropping some feeds on the floor & the chicken followed him and sat feeding from his feet. Joseph Stalin then turned to members of his political party leadership. He said, "This chicken represents the people". "You must disempower them, brutalise them, beat them up, starve them and then leave them". "If you do this, go into your pocket & give them peanuts when they are in that helpless and desperate situation, they will blindly follow you for the rest of their life, worshiping you". "They will think you are a hero forever. They will forget that, you're responsible for their sorrowful situation in the first place." Breath taking, isn't it ? Now! Take a look at all the people some Nigerians are busy defending on social media. Take a look at those they call their heroes. They are the same people who plunged Nigeria into the situation she is. They are the same people who are responsible for their predicaments. Did you see the numbers of people that throng to Saraki's House during this Sallah period to go collect peanuts? People trooping to Bola Ahmed Tinubu Foundation offices to collect branded One kilo bag of Rice & Noddles. Did you see the number of people of all ages who troop out to welcome Ex- convict James Ibori to South South! Your guess is as good as mine. Nigerians kill those they should defend and defend those they should kill! Pass to all your contacts & let your Political & Religion Leaders read, understand & digest.

Can I ask you a very good question?

After creating the regional party will you people import new sets of politicians from Canada or Scotland. Because I'm very sure this same old politician stealing your money will take over and you will still be thesame old story. The problem of the south east is not the Nigeria state but the politician there. They have failed you people and that's the fact you have failed to realize. They will divert money that belongs to you and come back to you and start brainwashing you that the Nigeria state is marginalizing you people. Have you ever asked yourself these 5 questions.

1. Is the Nigeria state not paying the monthly allocation of the south east states? From statistic south east states collect more allocation than south west states

2. Are your senators not collecting constituency allowance

3. Are you house of representative members not collecting constituency allowance

4. Are these people not involved in budget paddling? Why can't they smuggle capital project to their constituencies

5. In the past 16 years what has your leaders brought to your constituency

6. What have you people benefited from your sons and daughters in power

If you people for whatever party you like that won't solve your problem because these same old politicians will hijack the party

Until you start holding your leaders responsible that's when the south east can move forward.
