The important of exercise cannot be over emphasized. Apart from physical benefits, exercise also have psychological benefits that's why it's been recommended for people fighting addiction.Psychologically, exercise helps in stabilization of your mood because it triggers the release of happy hormone in the brain called dopamine. Dopamine is a natural highness which an addicts substitutes with artificial highness while on drugs.Exercise serves as a distraction for an addicts while craving for those drugs. It serve as an avenue in releasing pent up emotions which can be one of the major reasons which led an addict in using those drugs. I'm not a recovering addict...but regular exercise also helps one sleep better!
Recovering addicts need exercise to replace the role drugs played.....
Exercise in the form of useful labor...meaning activities such as farming, construction, gardening etc....working productively yet still exercising the body.
Our bodies need to be exercised.....
