Here goes my issue:

I sm a very dark person (as in black). And I don't intend to change that as that is my natural complexion. However, I have noticed that me face is 1 or 2 shades darker than the rest of my body. Also I have a dull skin. And I will like to correct that.

I used to use St. Ives (used it for years) but I currently use vaseline (skin whitening) and bath with dettol even tone. I have been bathing with dettol even tone for months now while I just recently started using vaseline (skin whitening) for about 2 weeks now. I still see no change.

Can you help me suggest what I can do to tone down the darkness of my face a little to march my other body parts?

Hello bright,

Acne is sometimes caused by scars from pimples and sometimes caused by bacteria.

Try this:

- Peel two oranges
- blend / grind their peels (the greenish back) to paste / liquid.
- Apply to the area infected and wait for 20 - 25 minutes
- rinse off completely & dry it up...

apply a good moisturizer afterwards....

i also recommend you use EXTRACT PAPAYA CALAMANSI HERBAL SOAP. its a whitening soap sha but just use it until you notice a fade off in your acne.

the person wants to lighten up a shade or 2 lighter. I do not want a harsh cream so as not to damage his skin. i want something natural that will gradually tone down the dark complexion a bit within 2 or 3 months.

Hi Doctor, just started following your thread and I must say you seem to be helping out a lot of people on skin issues. More grease to your elbows.

Three months ago, I started noticing large pores on my face, mostly on my nose and cheeks. Not sure if its because of the milk of magnesia which I use as primer before I apply my make up (because I have really oily skin) or the Yoko mixed berry spa salt which I use to exfoliate my face weekly. I stopped using the milk of magnesia and the spa salt about two months ago but the pores won't just disappear. Even after covering the pores up wit my make up, one hour later they pop out of the make up and make it look like my make up is sweating as the pores appear larger through the make up. I've tried using cold water on my face as well as egg-white to tighten the pores to no avail.
Please can you suggest any possible permanent solutions?

P.S - I switched from extract papaya calamansi soap to asantee papaya and honey soap yesterday and I have never used a cream or lotion on my body or face in over 5years because I have really oily skin..
