nice

i hope u guys go for LHDs , these r dual purpose both amphibious assault and ASW

just out of curiosity what is the status of Kenyan ship building industry
Sorry for the delay;its the weekend! In its infancy, tbh. Firstly we lack a true steel industry. I heard Fincantieri of Italy was setting up a shipyard 3 years back, but silence since then. I know some S Kors were also looking to set up. Southern engineering co,Mombasa last year built a logistical barge targeting the off shore oil and gas biz and they service KN gunboats.
If it were up to me I'd get the builders of your excellent Saryu,Goa shipyards to set up shop with Tech transfer and locally build both the 75 and 105 m versions of this wonderful hull. Both can sell as IPVs and OPVs all over Africa.

from the looks perspective

it looks sturdy and capable (u can say intimidating )

for overall perspective (performance etc) will need to do a military grade test drive grin

all the indian vehicles i posted , i care jack shiiit about them grin

real love of mine is for these work of love and ingenuity by people with little formal education but high on practical knowledge

the engines of these vehicles r addon discarded and repaired bike engines , diesel generator engines , water pump engines etc any thing that will produce decent torque. grin

the drive train/transmission most of the time is a leather belt from the engine rotor block to a fly wheel attached to the rear axle .

braking mechanism is dangerously simple

a mechanical lever which depresses the leather belt to disengage to free the rear fly wheel and a prayed offered to viswakarma (god of all mechanical and man made things ) is sufficient to stop the vehicle grin

speed 15-20km/hr , zero risk of over speeding grin

totally safe grin passenger/driver can disembark from the vehicle even when running at full speed with zero injuries grin

also allows passengers to escape paying the driver by performing a quick getaway from a full speed running vehicle grin

these vehicles run in rural villages and r made in homes / local garages

sometimes it allows people to get all artistic with them ,Picasso would be proud and jealous grin

corporations etc will come and go

but what matters in the long run is that ordinary people dont stop being alive and innovative and resourceful cool

big things dont matter but small things do , when it comes to a large population , same like small droplets of water which in large quantities can move mountains

It looks very good. The company has refined the vehicle up to a standard which is very good.

I agree, also intimidating. I'll also like to add, sales have been really good.

It's not even a military grade vehicle. It is primarily for law enforcement.

However, i have opined that it should be bought by the military for rapid deployment roles. Same role as the Panhard VBL used by the French army, also Nigeria.

The Nigerian military's deployment to Gambia showed that we need a vehicle like this.

I like to compare this vehicle to the GAIA Thunder from Israel.

Same role, very similar type vehicles.

Man, looks are very important!!

Take a look at Turkish vehicles. Turkey adds the y to the word sex in armoured vehicle manufacturing.

Turkish vehicles are always so good looking, I mean look at the Cobra II, Kaya, Edjer vehicles and FNSS. Even BMC although the Kipri doesn't quite get it.

That's were i hope we can aspire to.

guys in the defense industry always try to prioritize over functionality through performance , safety, handling, protection and maintainability etc

in the course of that guys try to streamline the shape for production level esability ie minimum gaps , minimum protrusions ,minimum replaceable body parts ,minimum locking bolts ,maximum interlocking body parts, some minimum aerodynamic gain etc

simply stated IMO external aesthetics is accidental , other times marketing gimmick (most of the time)

in the end u might get is a product which aesthetically pleases u , but a big but , in the field under adverse conditions only those vehicles will stand fast which have better functionality rather than looks.

no offense but u will have to be a soldier to appreciate that fact , loosing ur life becz ur vehicle malfunctioned will leave u cursing the designers in ur very last breath, aesthetics wont stop bullets or stop a vehicle from breaking down .

eg.look at the casspir MPV it is not aesthetically pleasing but i would rather trust my life to it than to all the aesthetically pleasing MPV available today (which r big on talks/looks but less on performance).
