The national screening committee of the Apc led by the Speaker of Zamfara State House of Assembly, for the Osun west senatorial bye election ,today has disqualified One of the two aspirants vying for the ticket, Senator Mudashir Hussein.

Hussein according to the committee was disqualified for his failure to resign from his position as a serving commissioner in the state.

why must he resign as commissioner before he can be senator? do governors resign when they run for the senate o higher positions? or do senators resign when they run for other positions as well? it doesn't make sense
