METHANO-GREEN ENERGY presents model MG1 cookstove; a clean, energy efficient and multipurpose stove. It's made up of three basic components;
 Inner clay lining with a square opening and sieve-like base; this helps to trap heat generated while cooking thus preventing heat loss.
 Middle insulating fibre that prevents escape of trapped heat to the outside environment and hotness of the outer body.
 Outer metal casing, holding the whole structure as a single unit.
MG1 is designed to make use of both firewood (tiny branches of firewood) and charcoal (small quantity of charcoal). It also has an insulated door and cap, that enables it usage as an oven to bake, and can also be used to roast or smoke after cooking.
The following are the objectives of the MG1 cookstove;
• Reduction in indoor air pollution and health issues arising from it (predominant in women and children), as little or no smoke is produced when using firewood or charcoal.
• Curtail the problem of deforestation thereby preserving forest covers and combat global warming.
• Alleviate poverty by reducing the cost of buying cooking fuels and quantity of fuel required to cook.
