He is being celebrated here oday by the same Nigerians he stole money from!

The damage he was alleged to have done during his 8 or 9 months in power is unrivaled. People who were privileged to go to his soon after he left told stories of an underground car lot filled with brand new cars. No one has investigated him simply because he handed over power to the civilians (similar to what GEJ is enjoying now).

in other words, PMB will be 75 by Dec, Abdulsalam Abubakar is 75 today. PMB was a Maj. general by 1981 while Abdulsalam became a Colonel as at 1982. Pmb was commissioned in 1963 while Abdusalam was commissioned 1967. I still find it very hard to believe PMB is 75

True, I don't think he was "bad" in that sense, but definitely not someone that qualifies to be called a hero or nationalist. Just as you said, what notable thing did he achieve during his time? The way we give our leaders free passes in Nigeria is just amazing.
