Project 20386
Is there anyone who merges firepower and function like Uncle Vlad.? I DON'T THINK SO! That little corvette is as heavily armed as most frigates and some destroyers.

Sorry for the delay;its the weekend! In its infancy, tbh. Firstly we lack a true steel industry. I heard Fincantieri of Italy was setting up a shipyard 3 years back, but silence since then. I know some S Kors were also looking to set up. Southern engineering co,Mombasa last year built a logistical barge targeting the off shore oil and gas biz and they service KN gunboats.
If it were up to me I'd get the builders of your excellent Saryu,Goa shipyards to set up shop with Tech transfer and locally build both the 75 and 105 m versions of this wonderful hull. Both can sell as IPVs and OPVs all over Africa.
the way i see it is that Kenya will have to leverage future purchase of naval ships for help in setting up local facilities and training the required manpower via defense offset clauses.

this will allow u to expand ur facilities and skill set , until u can start designing and building ur ships standalone .

govt to govt negotiation with south koreans europeans russians indians chinese will allow u enough room to get the best out any such deal.

only thing u need initially is political/military acumen with regard to street smart negotiation and loads of dollars.

rest will fall in place

initially u can import naval grade steel as no country will give u the technology , it is a closely guarded secret (99% chance)

u have to work on the R & D urself with consultancy from friendly countries .

most important thing which is not generally acknowledged / known is the fact that to have a good naval ship building capability u need to first have a economically successful civilian ship building capability inhouse.

if u have that , than half the jobs already done .

i sincerely hope kenya gets going in this regards first with small tonnage ships like tug boats , FAC , missile boats etc and then subsequently move over to OPVs , corvettes, frigates and destroyers.

atgm in pic is rumored/speculated by defence enthusiasts to be Amogha-1 ATGM , no official confirmation

it is a second generation, Anti-Tank Guided Missile which has a range up to 2.8 km. It is under development by Bharat Dynamics at Hyderabad

edit: it is Amogha-1 ATGM , it is a upgraded and local derivative of milan ATGM, it removes the deficiencies encounter in milan.

China’s Divine Eagle anti-stealth UAV

Published by The Independent
Divine Eagle: How much of a threat is China’s new high-flying drone to US air superiority?
The US has led the way in the use of stealth aircraft in combat. Now the game could soon be up, as scientists in China and Russia are discovering ways to make the invisible visible.

The typhoon class was on another level, mind you the Borei is currently the largest submarine in the world and its completely dwarfed by the typhoon class sub.

Why did we not order straight from China?
Re: Technical Discussions On International Military Equipments Doctrines Tactics Etc by Nobody: 9:36am On Jun 13, 2017
copy paste......

new type of sensor system for arjun mk2 on the left of frontal turret portion pic 1 and 2 (previous system contained only guidance system for CLGM missile as shown in pic 3)

never seen them before and that too with 3/4 optical lenses/sensors combination.

guess (assumption) it contains IRCM (soft kill) and lasing system for CLGM missile .
CLGM=cannon launched guided missile

lol
ur asking me the question which i had asked u all almost a year back grin

it would have made more sense economically and the deal could have been a steeping stone for nigerian chinese collaboration in avionics sector via FC1 customization/upgrade program for the MLU which every aircraft is destined to.

plus the financial terms for the acquisition would have been more suitable and importantly delivery/support/maintenance services would have been faster .

eg. if tomorrow NAF wants some changes to its jf17 it will to approach p******* who will in turn have to approach china and back and forth.

and god forbid if some day south asia goes KA-BOOM grin grin grin grin

would chinese OEM be under any obligation to support NAF JF17 deal with PAF ?
knowing the business minded Chinese they might, for a extra load of dollars grin
