Well said, but I don't agree with selling it to Asians, unfortunately the problem will have today is the huge illegal trade in Pangolins between Asians ( especially China and Malaysia) and West African smugglers..

Recently 300kgs of pangolin scales ( imagine how many animals were butchered to get that quantity, sad) was intercepted by Malaysian​ customs, they were smuggled in from Ghana; few months ago was Nigeria.. it's all over the news

I don't think Pangolins will be saved, the greedy Chinese businessmen and unscrupulous African smugglers will ensure that..sad

You just killed a very rare animal, i will not put it in terms of money because it just worsens the species plight. That animal is super rare. That you saw one is a priviledge and gives us hope for its survival. That you killed it is unfortunate and lamentable.If you ever see one again please dont kill it, if anyone wants to kill it, tell them killing it offends the gods.

Capturing that pangolin and selling it alive would have fetched you enough money to buy a cow.

with all the criticism op is getting today, am sure even if you should prepare the meat, it just won't taste good eating it. but seriously, we need to change this our "every undomesticated animal must end up as bush meat" mentality. with the rate we are going, the next generation to come won't get the opportunity of seeing common animals around.

It's well
