I wonder too. An organization I once worked with uses the Kia Rio ( I think it is the 05/06) as official cars. The vehicles were always developing one fault or the other. While some were always sleeping in the mecho's garage. But in hindsight, I now believe it is the crooked drivers bringing all sorts of spurious claims and conniving with mechanics to fleece the company. Still trying to shake off that mindset. The Kia Rio is one quick, responsive ride

what it looks like as at this evening.

My upholstery Guy gave me an inhouse quote N50,000 and 1week to get the seats done, I will check owode onirin, ladipo in Mushin, and onyigbo in yaba to see if I can a complete stock interior. I will weigh the prices and decide on next line of action. Patience is not one of my many virtues sad

Will try and strike out all the minor stuff on the undone list this week.

My upholstery Guy gave me an inhouse quote N50,000 and 1week to get the seats done, I will check owode onirin, ladipo in Mushin, and onyigbo in yaba to see if I can a complete stock interior. I will weigh the prices and decide on next line of action. Patience is not one of my many virtues .

Will try and strike out all the minor stuff on the undone list this week.

GAZZUZZ:
1 pack of clips for Grill, bumper and missing ones on the splash sheild under fender.

There are 2 types of these pins i have noticed. I hope u noticed too. There are long ones with flat edges and short ones with curved edges(not screw type o). The short ones grips better unlike the long one in your hand.

Especially for that splash shield, you better get the short ones else your splash shield will soon be wasted. My friend lost his slash shield due to the long ones pulling out anyhow.

it's amazing how a set of new headlights and a grill give a new lease of life to the face of your car. Great job so far!

Drive home was not so smooth, rear right tyre is on its last lap, so I shall be doing tyres tomorrow. Initially wanted to do 2toks, but I might end up replacing all 4 if I can get same make. Will also buy a spare rim, and use the best of the 4tyres as a spare.

Will also replace the front right CV joint, and front right wheel bearing. That way I should not be doing any suspension work any time soon.

The previous owner NEVER renewed his car documents, all documents are from 2014, pattybf will help me sort out the registration, I might also get new plates.
