chemystery:Are you sure you want to continue with this? You're going into atheism. That God regretted creating man is context-bound. |

Pharaoh was punished and made to suffer because of his earlier humilation on God's own people. |

victorazy:One question, please: Why would a creator suddenly decide that one of his creation is now a stranger? |

mistarsam:Simple, like earthly father, do you like your son who doesn't recognize you as father? No! They worship other gods and forgot their creator. |

victorazy:1. Will you kill him or condemn him to eternal punishment? 2. Why not call him back to order? 3. The Yorubas have a saying that 'Omo eni o ni buru titi ki a fi fun ekun je' which can be translated as: No matter how recalcitrant/stubborn/wayward your child is, you don't give him away to a lion to devour. As much as some ancient Nigerian customs are barbaric, there is still a place for compassion and unending love towards others. What I'm driving at is that if mere mortals can have compassion towards their progeny(their creation), how hard is it for the 'God of love' to have compassion on sinners and not condemnthem to gruesome, eternal punishment? |

mistarsam:1. Did God say He will never forgive you? 2. What was the parable of "The prodigal son" Jesus told us meant? 3. My people say "Akawa ma nti anughi, egbupu isi nti ga-eso ya" meaning: warning is given and the ear refuses to hear, when the head will be cut off the ear will follow it. My bother, we are not doing God a favor BUT ourselves, if we don't serve him, He will raise stones to worship him. |

Hehehhe, they just can't stop applying worldly wisdom to God's words. Romans 9:17 17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. How will people know that He's God if He doesn't show forth His greatness and His power. Exo 14:31 31 And Israel saw that great work which the Lord did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord, and his servant Moses. The exodus 14:17 says 17 And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen. But you are seeing only the ending but you didn't see the beginning. Let me brief you Exo 1:13-16 13 And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour: 14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour. 15 And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah: 16 And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live. As I've always said God's negative prophecy works only on disobedient children. |
