Arduino is it the chip or board

Get the setup(Arduino app) from their official site—www~arduino~cc(replace ~ with .)

How to "dump" code? Click on file> new/new sketch then copy-paste/write the code there. Save/compile/verify then upload(it sends the data to the Arduino.

From your diagram I can tell it's a complex 'robot' and as such, you would need to add a couple of libraries to your code—they are usually in zip format and you should get the right one from the site you wld be getting your code from. Dumping this, you would need to locate the add .zip library.

If you are a beginner(well, duh!), I would strongly suggest you start from the basics. And read on handling electrical instruments as to prevent being electrocuted. Also, these devices have a maximum current flow, read that also to avoid burning your circuit. Just make more research before diving in.

Your image, now fully loaded, is of the chip. It shld already be connected to your Arduino board. Still, my previous post shld be considered.

I advise you to try the Arduino Uno first if you have no prior knowledge of embedded system cause programming it is quite straight forward with a USB connector (printer cable).
- Just download the cross platform (java based) Arduino IDE for free (It's even available in Windows Store)
- Install the board drivers (for windows if you use the Arduino IDEinstaller the drivers will be installed along with the IDE).
- Open one of the samples that com with the IDE (I recommend the blink example since it doesn't require any extra wiring and basically just blinks the on-board led for pin interface 13).
- Specify a board type and port.
- Upload you code.
- If it's successful you should see a the pin 13 led blink (toggle on and off at 1s interval) every second.

For the PIC though it's a whole different story.

i made the arduino prototype, so i want to use the usbasp uart ttl to program it, and avr to domp the bootloader? Ples do u know how to bootload the atmeger328 with avr pocket programmer?
