Nigeria's former president, Abubakar Atiku may also weigh in. Saraki friends with Atiku, and may use his influence to rescue Melaye.

Atiku is also eyeing the presidential seat in 2019 may do need a man like Melaye in his presidential ambition.

Saraki should pray the recall process fails or else kogi politics will consume him and the senate.

Your comment is based on ignorance of the recall process. The signatures of over 50% of registered voters are required to start the process irrespective of the number of vote cast during the election that produced the senator.
