grimadult:I've never really gotten into care detailing so I do not have polisher/buffer at all. I rather just give the car to a detail place once every six months. |

DaimlerBen:I'll defer to Gazzuzz and co, I'm not really a VW Bus aficionado. My interest in VW Bus is with their Westfalia/Vanagon/Weekender series, of which I'm in love. I do know though that most of my friends with those beasts have changed the engine/transmissions to either Subaru or Porches.

DaimlerBen:Don't be so quick to discount Porsche, you might find a wrecked vehicle. Any Subaru will work but if it were me, I would look at the WRX and maybe even the STi. I subscribe to the analogy that "if one has to eat a Frog, he should eat one with eggs". Let me share my philosophy with you on doing these things. In my opinion, a daily driver (not a show car) needs three things, drivetrain, bodywork and interior. I will always only take one thing.
