2n2k:O what r u saying, that war must be fought?Pls grow up war will not be fought. You must not fight wars to gain independence.Must countries that left USSR how many fought wars?Since there is a sharp differences, injustice and even open declaration from the Nigerian ppl (Arewa) that Igbos should go and the Igbos saying they want to go,tell me what else should you be waiting for.Referandum is the best thing. From the sit at home it shows that it is an overwheming decision by the ppl there. |

Whats all this fuss about dividing this in peace? even if the UN delegates are truly coming ,there comin to shake hands with the president, preach the gospel of peace and fly back to Washington DC. sometimes i wonder Hw myopic who igbos could be. you guys really think the un nations will come to conduct a referendum when the Nigerian government is against it? this is the same government that has over 40 seats in UN security chambers (one of the most powerful seats in UN) making nigeria as powerful as US, britain Russia and China. And again remember Amina Muhammad (or so) that was made the deputy secretory to UN, that also includes other mediocre posts occupied by Nigerians in favour of the Nigerian government. so if i can jst be a prophet in 10 sec, like i mentioned earlier they will come, shake hands, preach the need for peace and co-existence and leave you to your troubles. |

rhektor:I wish i can tell you age because you think too low.Whether you make statement or not this Biafra thing is a done deal.It s not even Nnamdi Kanu that is the force behind it.There r lot of Igbos outside Nigeria that r bent on pulling out of the country called Nigeria. If i were you i will be thinking on how your people will agitate for a better structure in Nigeria after these people might v gone. |

I think the problem with the northern youths is illiteracy, ignorance etc. Looking at many decades I ve stayed in the North, the only language they understand is violency, humiliation, killing, religious intolerance etc. If you trace the violency the northern youths has caused serveally in the North, it's always the Igbos that suffers majorly all of it. Year in year out there must violency not only property, but with majorly human killing. if the UN is coming to discuss it let them think as well a state of emergency esp Kano the heart of violence to control all these madness. As the VP had held meetings with Southerns and Northerners, let him hold such meeting too with the youths of the both sides too |

reality1010:I only reacted to the manner you off-handedly waved off the heroic struggles of the south-Sudan and eriterian people in your earlier post by insinuating that if they could vote overwhelmingly for secession despite being far less educated than igbos, then your own people votes would be a piece of cake. You didn't take into account that these people fought physical wars continuously for 30 to 50 years just to get that referendum and at that stage, not even their enemies expected anything less than overwhelming vote in favor of independence. Sit-at-home protest showed nothing. The south-west used that in 1993 to 1995 even in the face of military tyranny of Abacha. Then many people including Igbos stayed away from the streets in SW not because they supported Abiola's cause but to get out of harms way from the miscreants that were enforcing the order. I wish you well in your secessionist bid but don't demean other people or their struggles. |

UN delegation that is likely made up of delegates from imperialist nations. How many times have you seen UN delegation visit an imperialist nation, where the delegates have been from non imperialist nations? Mumu Nigerians can never see anything wrong with everything imperialists do to destroy us Africans. Let us keep being mumu until the imperialist killers turn up on our doorstep. |

KondoOlopa:Well, you can't force people to leave any part of Nigeria until their desired new country is created. If to say Biafra is created now, the northerners can then go ahead and give all foreigners (Biafrans) 3 months to quit their country. It will make more sense that way. Now let me ask you a question, if all Igbos are to leave the entire north, what will happen to civil servants, bankers, lecturers and teachers, and top government officials of Igbo extraction holding strategic positions up north including Abuja? Has the system been modified to create replacements for them? If all Igbo FG workers have to leave the north back to SE, are there equivalent parastatals where they can continue their roles? In summary, you can't give anybody quit notice from any part of the country till you have succeeded in dividing the country? Until Biafra is formed, we all are still part of Nigeria, and are bound by the Nigerian constitution. |

[quote author=facelessangel post=57868994]I think Igbos will establish diplomatic ties faster with Hausas than Yorubas. An average hausa man is straight foward more than the Yorubas. Igbos despise Yorubas more than Hausas. Remove the yorubas and see how Igbos will live in Peace with the Hausas[/quote Ship out of Yoruba land and keep your diplomatic relationship, we simply don't need it. Despite being in the same country with you guys what have we benefited from Igbo, the answer is NOTHING. Abi you think say Yoruba be like Malo who cannot read between the lines? |
