I know that this will encourage farmers to plant more and hopefully it is the excess that we will be exporting .
I hope our Nigerians will not spoil this venture the way they shipped beans with weevils and lots of stone and dirt.
Come to think about it if rice that has smaller grains can be free of stones isn't it high time our brothers in the north stop loading stones and dirt inside our beans because of greed. Government should come into this matter

Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh, recently disclosed that Nigeria will begin to export Yam to other parts of the world beginning from today June 29th.

According to Ogbeh, this will serve as possible means of economic diversification and also as a way of generating foreign exchange.

These photos show some Tubers of yams being packaged ahead of their exportation to countries where they are needed.
