Former Chelsea captain, John Terry, has agreed to join Aston Villa, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.

Terry has reportedly told other interested clubs, that he has decided to join Villa and the move is expected to be finalised over the weekend. Villa have been leading the chase for the 36-year-old, with Steve Bruce keen to bring the former England star to Villa Park for next season.

Terry became a free agent after leaving Chelsea at the end of his contract this summer.

He opted to leave Stamford Bridge after 22 years, after finding himself down Antonio Conte’s pecking

He is a player that has both champions league and Europa league experience. He has more exposure than ake and in this transfer window that is hyper-inflated, where an 18 year old goalkeeper is sold for 30m, don't you think that 33m for him is a mighty steal?

I really don't have problem with rudiger. He looks good on paper.
That's why I made hazard and neymar comparison before that comment.


Neymar looks better than hazard with more champions league experience, record etc on paper but would you prefer we sell hazard for 100m and buy neymar for 140 million?


For me, ake is a guy with a lot of potential and has proven himself despite very limited game time.
Letting him go for just 20million only to be going after a player that only had the opportunity to have more game time than him is a stupid decision.

I don't have problem with rudiger though. He is a good signing.
Atleast we got a replacement that looks better than ake.

Correction, he bought the club for £60m, inheriting £80m debt on the balance sheet with it. Ken Bates took home £17m from his shareholding.

£60m is not 'around £140m'. Assuming no Goodwill, he paid £60m for a company that had £140m in Assets and £80m in Liabilities.

A minimalist look creates a Chelsea home shirt
