The convocation ceremony was attended by UNIOSUN vice-chancellor, Professor Labo Popoola.





The best graduating medical student at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University in Ukraine, Dr. Lateefat Oyeleye Abiola, was on top of the world 30 June, as she delivered the valedictory speech.


Lateefat, a student of Osun State University was sponsored to the Ukrainian university by the government of Governor Rauf Aregbesola, to complete her studies.


She emerge the best by scoring 95.6 per cent. Forty-nine other students from Osun state, in her set, who were all sponsored to the school by the Aregbesola administration, passed their exams.


Lateefat was one of the 85 medical students of the Osun State University, UNIOSUN, left stranded and unable to complete their studies after the National Universities Commission in 2012 refused to accredit the course for lack of a medical school.


However, in 2014, when Governor Rauf Aregbesola came on board, he decided to fully sponsor the 85 students that belonged to two different sets, to complete their Medical studies at the Kharkiv National University, Ukraine.

Oh, these medical students sent to Ukraine then by Osun State Governor have finished their studies after the nonaccreditation issue with NUC, nice!

When The state governor, Rauf Aregbesola, brought up the idea then, many were criticizing him. Thank God he has been vindicated.
Very likely these students, most especially the best graduating student, could have had their brilliancy hidden or killed by this our academic stress and Nonsense.

Being the best graduating student from a school which has produced not less than three Nobel prize laureates no be moin-moin.

And their mates admitted with the same UME to study in LAUTECH are still in 500level!
