Youngadvocate:Gov. Okorocha, Where are the monies budgeted for Okigwe and Orlu stadium? Where are the monies budgeted for Prince and Princess Hotels Orlu and Okigwe respectively? You think say Imo people shall be as foolish as the present government operatives who believe that Imo state begins and ends with Owerri, the state capital. After May 2019; python shall vomit what it swallowed. You think say people in Orlu and Okigwe zones you hated and deliberately underdeveloped shall ignore to pick stones after 2019. |

Unimaginable123:No more roads outside Owerri. Any body that goes into Orlu, for example shall spit on the face of this Okorocha. Even roads built by previous governments here, Okorocha govt watched all of them gradually disappear. |

........The governor’s ironic political stunt is coming at a time majority of the Imo people express strong disgust and outright detestation of the poor governance of the his administration especially in his second tenure...... I have nothing else to add to what the scam artist has said. |

Cuche:You want Imo citizens to speak right?... I'm sure you suppose I'm from Zamfara right?... Even with all the horrible media coverage, the political motivated negative propaganda against me man (courtesy of the contempt people have for him cos he joined APC), Imo citizens as you rightly pointed out still re-elected him in 2015. That was pure evidence that the people on ground know better than the pointless loud pointless campaigns of calumny against him coming primarily from people who arent even from the state. I dont know about the loans he collected compared with other states, but what I know is that there are projects everywhere, much more than Imolites experienced in the combined 12 years of ohakim and udenwa. |

Unimaginable123:As election campaigns draw near, Okorocha is now painting whitewash on that Orlu Stadium he destroyed. He is not replacing the Stadium seats. He is also building a New Stadium in his university in his hometown. The New Stadium he embarked upon in Orlu has been abandoned. This Okorocha man seems to believe that every body is blind except him. |

obailala:How Okorocha won 2nd Term 2015. In 2015, Okorocha left too many uncompleted projects, mostly roads outside the state capital, and his 27 general hospitals. So 2015 reelection, Imo people had no choice but reelect Okorocha for fear that if another person was elected, the Okorocha projects might not be completed; because Okorocha himself hardly completed any project of his predecessors. But Okorocha wickedly leaves these roads uncompleted, but rather started to build inland roads, flyovers, tunnels, and most annoying, eight lane streets - all in the state capital. |
| Re: Why My Successor May Be Stoned By Imo People -- Gov. Rochas Okorocha by obailala(m): 5:49pm On Jul 01, 2017 |
Amah70:I dont know about all these, people always will have complaints. I'm not trying to defend the man as a saint, I'm particularly disappointed in the quality of his projects. However, what I can say with a high degree of confidence is that he isnt half as bad as the 'angry mob' has been painting him; the campaigns of calumny against him are purely political (specifically because he joined APC). At least you agree he started numerous road projects in almost all communities across the state. If not for anything, since the beginning of time, he was the first to bring any kind of govt presence to my interior community. I can now drive on tarred roads till I get to my family compound, something I never dreamt of before 2011. Of course I agree there are still lots of uncompleted branches of these interior roads even in my own village, but I cant help but simply acknowledge the one he did. |

mykl01:Somewhere in ideato n. Oh yes most of projects may be concentrated in owerri, but if you are from imo, you will agree with me that despite his focus on owerri, he has still done far more projects in communities outside owerri than his 2 recent predecessors. |

My question is why are Igbos fighting Rochas Okorocha with lies upon lies? The blog is Igbobia.com and then lied that Okirocha owes civil servants or that majority of his people are disgusted. The university built by Okorocha is the finest in the entire East today surpassing Uniport, Unical and Absu but I've never seen all these Igbo blogs write about it. |

obailala:I won't really agree with you. Because, asides substandard roads, inconclusive hospitals, collapsing bridges and schools, I can categorically tell you that the Imo state Governor is a scam. Prefab, ikenegbu, umuguma, and other housing areas in Owerri are perennially flooded, Douglas Road and other roads have seen uncommon heaps of refuse, pension na different matter. Nepotism under him is next only to Buhari. He only does "shine-shine" by the road things to convince passers-by. I don't see how he is trying. I'm glad he at least built his village Ideato and opened the road at New Owerri (around New Govt. House. I didn't forget to mention the "tunnel" at Port Harcourt road, I just can't tell if it's a big drainage channel that can take cars. |

paulsoniyke:Who told you 600million was used for Christmas tree or is it same blog nonsense that you refer to? No Governor can achieve what Okorocha did with the little money available to him in Nigeria of today. No State is giving free education to University level in Nigeria and no State has built 400 schools apart from Rivers under Amaechi. No State has built the standard of hospitals in all its LGAs like he's doing, completed most of the buildings and equipped 3 so far. No Governor in history has built 8 lane roads running into 10s of km across city centre or as ringroad. In Rivers only Aba road is and in Anambra Onitsha head bridge is. The ones in Abuja and Lagos were done by FG. |

mykl01:His roads are not substandard anything and the tunnels are very beautiful and solid. Why have we suddenly stopped seeing photos of the tunnels? This is Okigwe road as constructed by Okorocha and the Concorde tunnel.

There's nowhere in the world you can call these roads substandard.

Okorocha is blowing his trumpet stu.pidly........aside owerri town road brethens.... every other inter community roads in Imo State is an apology....try comparing that with a state like Anambra. Abeg people should stop dis nonsense.... What about quality of life of its citizens? Compare the minimum wage of Anambra Workers(20,000NGN) to that of their Imo counterpart and the rate of payment of their workers salaries. Compare the welfare of Pensioners in both states. ![]() Theres no need insulting the integrity of the good people of Imo State with such comments from the Governor. A good Government should build Roads linking Rural Areas for quality Agricultural Development and not white Elephant Projects (8 lanes at d heart of the town leading to Hotels) thats adds nothing to the quality of Life of its Citizens. | Re: Why My Successor May Be Stoned By Imo People -- Gov. Rochas Okorocha by Abagworo(m): 7:09pm On Jul 01, 2017 |
preacherz:1stly Anambra minimum wage is 11,500 Naira while Imo is 20,000. 2ndly there wasn't and there still isn't commensurate increase in wages by grade level in Anambra civil service making the wage bill small compared with Imo. You can verify these facts. Peter Obi refused to key into the national salary structure insisting that Anambra couldn't afford it becauss he was a 2nd termer like Okorocha is at the moment. As for rural roads you are right but priority defers and more importantly Okorocha has done more rural roads than all his predecessors combined but cannot be compared with Anambra that started with Ngige and Obi to Obiano. It's a gradual process and any truthful person will agree that he is trying. Who could have believed Orlu can be like this?

You old frustrated man hates the truth with your hopeless life even when it is coming from your own people. Anambra pays far and higher above Imo state and still yet it is not owing, whereas Imo state that pays far less is owing over 10months. Stop spewing rubbish this idiot. [s] Abagworo:[/s] Here... With the recent increments done by Obiano, civil servants in the state should be earning over 22k. Mr Jerry Nnubia, the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Anambra , says that the current minimum wage being earned by workers should be increased to N50,000 monthly from its present N18,000. Nnubia told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Awka, capital of Anambra, that the increment became imperative following the “harsh” economic realities in the country. Nnubia said that the minimum wage was long overdue for an upward review. “At the time we negotiated for a minimum wage of N18, 000, a dollar was exchanging for N140, but a dollar exchanges for between N220 and N240 now. “The cost of living; accommodation, transportation and food items has also gone high, making it difficult for salary earners to take care of their basic needs,” he said. NAN also reports that the Association of Senior Civil Servants last month also demanded a minimum wage of N46, 000 for workers. Its Secretary-General, Mr. Bashir Lawal, in Lagos State, said that the existing N18, 000 minimum wage could not meet the socio-economic demands of workers. According to Nnubia, the Federal Government’s fight against corruption will further help to improve the economy. He urged the Federal Government to review its housing policy for workers, noting that civil servants had not benefitted from the existing housing scheme despite their monthly contributions to the scheme. “The current contributions of workers to the national housing scheme should be made to work,” he said. He commended Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra for his positive dispositions towards workers’ welfare, but noted that more still needed to be done in the state. “Anambra workers are full of expectations that Obiano will put smiles on their faces by fulfilling his promises of increasing salaries,” the unionist said. http://www.naijaurban.com/nlc-chairman-wants-minimum-wage-increased-to-n50000/ http://freedomonline.com.ng/nlc-chairman-wants-minimum-wage-increased-to-n50000-monthly/ See below... https://www.naij.com/1112110-23-states-currently-owing-workers-salaries-number-months-owed.html - The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), has revealed some disappointing news - According to the, body, at least 23 states of Nigeria currently owe local government workers their salaries - Some of the states mentioned, owe as much as 16 months arrears According to reports from NULGE, 23 states of the federation currently owe local government workers’ arrears of salary, ranging from one to 16 months. Ibrahim Khaleel, the national president of the union, stated this in a statement issued on Monday, June 26, in Abuja. According to Vanguard, Mr Khaleel said that Bayelsa state is owing local council workers the most with between 10 and 16 months unpaid. Below is the full list of states and amounts they owe compiled by NAIJ.com : 1. Bayelsa - Between 10-16 months 2. Kogi - Between 7-15 months 3. Delta - Between 8-14 months 4. Kaduna - 12 months 5.
