abusol:This is a huge task. Maybe through technology and realtime information sharing. If as a govt official I know any tissue paper or pen cost I inflate its price in a transaction can be seen by many eyes then I am less likely to inflate that cost. Also of good use is proper evaluation of common projects like school buildings and vehicle purchase or even arms purchase. A building costing average of N10m in a state should be built for N50m in the neighboring state for no reason. A power plant costing a particular amount in Saudi Arabia has no reason to triple in cost in Nigeria. |
