Dear Naira lander, my toyota camry 1996 model is stuck in park. It is cranking but when I press the brake to move the gear lever to any gear, it's not moving.

check if your brake lights are working when you press the brakes.

The brake lights are not working. I tried d images you sent and I am able to move thecar. Thanks. Hope this is not a serious problem?

One of d relay in d fuse box is faulty.take it to gud rewire to replace for u

Bros check ur fuses.. One has cut.. Was any electrical work done?

Fuses do not burn on their own, they have specific current ratings and once exceeded the fuse cuts.

This is a cause and effect situation.

Find the cause, replace the fuse (do not join it with a wire) and all will be well.

Possible instances that could cause the brake lamp/inhibitor fuse to burn/ not work include.

* harness damage to rear lighting
* Shorting bulbs (very unlikely)
* wrong brake lamp bulbs installed.
* Village people
* shorting inhibitor switch (location is inside.
gear lever)
* wrong rating of installed fuses (if recent.
work was done)
* more village people
* partial contact on fuse (very likely)
* faulty brake switch (base of brake pedal)

No bro, no electrical work was done. I actually drove and parked. Later when I wanted to leave for home, the issue started. I do not even know which fuse or relay works for this issue. But thinking of taking it to professionals to check.
