''What a hectic day'' K.C yelled and fell backwards on his bed.

He has just gotten back from Mirabel's wedding, not that he's a fan of weddings, but he just had to go because Mirabel personally invited him.

''Atleast she's found happiness'' he commented, as thoughts of the little time he spent with her filled his mind.

''How will Dami look in that kind of sparkling white gown?'' he asked thoughtfully, despite having dreamt of Dami in a wedding gown, he still found himself wondering and imagining how she would look dressed like a bride in real life, just the way he had seen Mirabel.

He still couldn't get the thought of how beautiful Mirabel looked in her stunning wedding gowns, smiling and waving happily to the guests, her wedding was simply a gathering of the elites.


Unfortunately, the four hours he spent there, were hell for him, as everyone around him kept talking about love and happy marriages, the two topics he didn't fancy at all, which was why he left as soon as he handed Mirabel her wedding gift.

He hissed ''Love and marriage, two make-believe words that don't actually exist'' he murmured while searching for his phone to call Dami.

Nate was unable to concentrate properly on his work at home, he was already missing Jane.

Few minutes later, he was smiling and viewing her pictures, both the recent and old ones, something about the pictures captured his mind, almost all the pictures had an elderly woman, whom he suspected to be her mum, in it.

The most recent update almost made him jump out of his skin in shock.

He read the post over and over again, taking his time to digest every piece of word written there.

Standing beside her already packed travel bag, she smiled at him ''Already taken care of, a taxi will be here anytime from now'' she said and came closer and gave him a light peck.

''My regards to mum'' he murmured.

''She will hear'' she replied patting him gently on his back ''Bye'' she added as soon as she heard the horn of the taxi blaring outside the apartment.

''bye'' she said again and moved to her bag tearily as he made no move to get up nor assist her in carrying the bag downstairs.

No help, no goodbye, absolutely nothing.

''This isn't my husband'' she concluded as she sat in the taxi.

Clouds were already forming in the sky and she wondered if the flight will still be possible due to the weather condition.


Ken stirred in his bed and sat up like he was having a bed dream.

He checked the side clock and pounded his fist angrily on the bed and started searching for his phone.

Fourty minutes since his wife left and he still hasn't called the person that was supposed to follow her.

He has been too sleepy to even say a goodbye to her, after the non stop romantic night in Kath's house which deprived him of sleep.

Just when he was about dialing her number, a car honked outside his compound; a familiar horn.

''Kath, what are you doing here'' he asked as soon as he got downstairs and opened the door.

''Way to go Ken, this is the new way to greet?'' she asked feigning a frown.

''Sorry, welcome'' he replied and moved away to allow her enter.

''I called Vicky and she told me she's on her way to the airport already and I decided to come and keep you company'' she said planting a kiss on his lips.

''Thanks'' he replied and tossed his phone on the chair and pulled her close for another kiss.

It soon started to rain but the two lovers took no notice of that, as they were too engrossed in other activities.
