There had to be conversations (which you termed "unnecessary" ) because the movie is an origin story, they can't go fighting about without dialogues so that we viewers (especially those that never read comics) can relate and know things about the character being portrayed.

Also you can't say Ares was boring based on a 10-15 minutes fight scene.

IMDB? LOL. you're taking piss, right? IMDB is not known for sound rating, go and view the Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes ratings, two recognised and widely-accepted critics, before rating that joke of an animation highly.

You know your onions when it comes to movies appraisals. Anybody that doesn't know the emboldened, knows nothing about how movies are to be scripted. An example is the first Captain America, since it's the first part, they had to focus more on his origin and less actions. But in the subsequent parts, the actions took center stage over dialogues. No mind the guy, jor.
