Obasanjo I have studied since he came to limelight after death of Murtala. He is an ordinary man who practices a rare kind of social alchemy. He uses the proper combinations of lies/truth, stick/carrot, tradition/religion, love/hate and all such other mixtures. Whether or not he succeeds he makes news. I want to be like him.

Upon all the "bridges" these old men including Obj have built, what do we have to show ?

2 million + dead in the civil war
hundreds of thousands dead in communal clashes
worsening unemployment
deepening inequality
falling standards of living
elite discord
looting
tribalism
sectionalism
calls for secession
political instability
calls for dissolution
millions of internally displaced citizens and exiles
poor educational sector
poor health sector
poor power sector
nearly zero security

I think it is high time all these old men go to the great beyond and build bridges there
Leave Nigeria for us.

Buhari's incompetence in public glare.
NASS can afford to take Nigeria for fools because we have a weak president.
I read a thread about OBJ's administration and how much he achieved despite a lot of corruption that characterized his gvt.

Obasanjo gave us Ribadu, El Rufai, Frank Nweke Jnr, Ostia Chidoka, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala (before GEJ happened), Oby Ezekwesili Akunyili, Soludo, Barth Nnaji, Yar'adua and many more. Thoroughbred professionals
Between 2003-2007, all these happened; Banking sector reforms, FCT reforms, NHIS, NAFDAC, EFCC, DUE PROCESS...reforms everywhere
Obasanjo legally or illegally removed/fired Wabara, Tafa Balogun, Fabian Osuji, Alice Oshomo, Ayo Fayose, Sunday Afolabi, Alamieyeseigha.
Imagine if OBJ had to wait for six months like PMB and still give us predictable people who many believe are soiled in corruption?
How may new people did Buhari brought on board?
Before you defend the indefensible and claim his alliance with corrupt politicians led to bad appointment. El Rufai, in his famous letter to Buhari said "Most of the people around Buhari dictating things now were no where to be seen during election"
Buhari also gave us his uncles and nephews who connived with the evil NASS to stop the confirmation of Magu. they are still in gvt probably planning another evil against PMB's govt.
Buhari can fight dirty too and he is fighting dirty. The only person PMB is illegally battling is Dasuki. How much of a national threat is Dasuki? is he more dangerous than Nnamdi Kanu?
Dasuki stole a lot as we all know but did he steal more than Diezani Madueke and others? No, his continual detention against several court orders is solely for personal vendetta. I don't care if Dasuki rot in jail. my point is, PMB can fight dirty too but only if it advance his personal interest.
