If you draging land with someone na to organize someone to follow him or her in the street and slip your property into his pocket and shout thief!!! and when he or she is searched they would find the said item and carry out jungle justice. This gotta stop. Abeg naija police start doing your job well so that people would trust you with their suspects. Unfortunately even those "ontop"are clients to ritual killers hence they would push buttons and cause the release of the real ritual killers. Nigeria is a very evil place right now. Crime esp ritual crimes cuts across every strata of the population. Very few clean hands to bring justice.

[b]Common sense is not common lol but the annoying part of reading N/L and other Nigerian forums is the childishness, hypocrisy and selective forgetfulness of most people with their double standards. People are ever quick to make brain-dead insinuations, jumping to crazy conclusions and making judgments like immature babies without pausing to think and ask salient questions like some of the ones you posed above; i guess God probably knew some pple will park their brain and not use it at all on earth but He gave them anyway

If na their persin dem light for fire now, dem go they scream all manner of illogically unreasonable reasons upandan but because they feel they are safe hiding behind their cheap Itel Torchlight phones, they feel like the Almighty. If we all approach issues rightly, we could go far in this country. You never know when you will be the one God will use to make things better if not for one but even everybody.

An hilarious example, some years back, I went with some family-friends for the Salah Break with their Dad in Abuja, a DIG, in those official residences allocated to the DIG's in Maitama side hoping to score supply contract opportunity, as an FOF (friend-of-the-family) . We were chilling jeje playing our play when some well-dressed folks came in to see the old-man. They went to one side, spoke hush-hush for a few seconds. Next thing, he bursted out, scattering everywhere (it was a case of Rape) ordering for a squad team of officers to enter that crime location immediately to pick suspect(s).

We been dey think matter don settle there when the old man sat down to continue gisting with us as before. But, next thing, he got up again, paced up and down a bit, took a few sips of his drink and said out aloud "what am I doing sef"?! Next thing, he picked his phone, called Force Headquarters to another another full-load Hilux of Mopol to head to that same place. The Pahley com talk say "there is no way they would be raping a young lady in that area that her shouts won't alert other people in the vicinity; definitely, all the boys in that area must be doing it together hence they are used to such craziness"! He come conclude say make dem go gbab all the boys dem fit see for that area, in fact, anything (even if na Lizard dem see) wey get preek go keep for detention till the Salah Break is over ! Wahala dey !!

It took his children and I, interjecting in the man's soliloquiy and condemned-soldier rants to convince him that innocent people fit dey among those who be picked and molested. That some might even just be arriving in that very area as at time of arrest including fellow Salah festivity observers and poor passers-by's. The man come calm down, make another call, say make them arrest the boy and his accomplices alone.

But guy, see race wey I tear comot for their villa the next day. Me wey i been dey eye one of the daughters b4.(dem be muslim gals but dey preferred xtian boys). Na forget i forget that all the babe/contract/future inlaw package wey been dey mesmerize my brain . Quick-quick, i yarn talk beta language to my leg. The very next morning, na early mormo sef I exx that their angle make erratic Alhaji nor say StJude like me dey eye all the aishats/maimunats' wey hin born full everywhere for compound. me sef wey i get intention be4!

But the real issue is "what if we were not there to balance and cancel out his irrationality and possible abusive application of power that day"? What if we couldn't convince him, there and then, to calm down, rethink and do the otherwise? A lot of innocent people in that compound, and entire vicinity as a whole, would have suffered unjustly. And the sad thing is most people think it's right. Soldier beat woman over tattoo under her boobs, you dey hail am dey condemn the woman for the tattoos instead to dey ask Khaki-boy how hin eye take go there?

When everybody gathers happily to beat, lynch or burn just anybody on a whim, it means most of them are demented. Is that not what they did in S/Africa xenophobic attacks and we shouted? Is that not what miscreant hausa boys did on the christian guy they attacked the other time for eating while they were fasting despite being of another religion? Irrational people walking about freely instead of being confined to the asylum.

But, can you blame them? Is it not this yeye bribe-collecting palm-wine drinkers we call Security Forces that created this mess.
