Fellow Nigerians, I had the rare honour of sitting and chatting with our Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, last Sunday, July 2, 2017, and it was such an amazing encounter. As you would probably have noticed on this page in the last few weeks, I’ve been visibly worried about the soaking tension in Nigeria. I’ve never been so agitated in a long time. Though we’ve had our fair share of challenges and tribulations as a people and country, we’ve always found a way to manage our differences and live in peace. Why then the sudden clamour for separation and violence I wondered.https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2017/07/08/a-special-evening-with-the-acting-president/

The meeting narrative justifies how simple the acting president is, giving the chance he may be able to take Nigeria to greater heights. These are qualities of a leader as copied from Forbes. ( Honestly , Delegate , Communication , Confidence , Commitment , Positive Attitude , Creativity , Intuition , Inspire and Approach ) He may not tick all the boxes but sure is building his qualities and people will say Tinubu stooge, tell me who doesn't need a little lift in life ? https://thumbs.gfycat.com/DizzyLawfulGoa-size_restricted.gif |

Once the Buhari government chose to make the war against corruption its main cardinal priority, it was going to be like touching the tiger by the tail. Corruption was going to fight back with all the ferocity and velocity at its command and disposal. It is arguable that, perhaps, the President should have tarried a while, to secure and stabilise the economic structures of Nigeria before embarking on these wars. Sooner than expected, the militants began to strike with mathematical accuracy and scientific precision. And they struck at the very jugular of Nigeria without blinking. Our oil resources were attacked just as internationally oil prices dipped. Almost immediately, Nigeria began haemorrhaging dangerously. The hullaballoo made our case far worse than it ever was. We couldn’t lift or supply enough oil, our cash cow. As if by some unseen conspiracy, the price of crude oil fell calamitously on the international market as the attacks mounted and became sustained. Thus the income that could not sustain us even on regular, incident free days became drastically drained and insufficient. States could not pay salaries of workers and our citizens lost jobs in droves. It is not easy to fight corruption in Nigeria. Like everything Nigerian, even corruption enjoys Federal character. The main reason most Nigerians fight tooth and nail for government appointment is to be able to partake in slicing off a chunky part of the national cake and savouring it with cronies and families, not for service. There was no way you are going to probe only the Jonathan government and not invite the fierce and fiendish wrath of some sympathetic militants who would argue that he was being persecuted because he comes from a particular section and minority tribe...Dele Momodu" Unfortunately Mr. Momodu turns out to represent the reprehensible agents of corruption who are fighting this administration. |

sunnysunny69:I've actually thought about it over. And I came to the conclusion that he doesn't have that capacity we initially thought he had. He'd just be a more docile version of GEJ. |

He believes that if the institutions of government are strengthened, and the cancer of corruption is contained, then our country will go places and reach the desired destination very soon. He just wants to handle the huge assignment given to him by his boss with every sense of responsibility and loyalty and to succeed in delivering to the people on the joint mandate given to his boss and himself by the Nigerian people. Some people would still have a problem with the above. ![]() |

I would have read the post if it came from a credible source other than Dele Momodu the praise singing hireling who masks himself with a false humility. FFK does his without hypocrisy, so I esteem him better than Dele the tribal hypocrite Osinbajo is no doubt intellectually sound a good man in his own standards. Osinbanjo is timid and a surrogate to the most corrupt godfather in Tinubu. No amount of cosmetics can change that. Dele should tell us another story |

sunnysunny69:sorry, this won't fly No body hates Osinbajo but all this hailing making him a superman won't fly As long as he remains a timid surrogate in the hands of his godfather Tinubu |

NaijaMutant:That was Osinbajo's thought expressed by Dele, at times you need to ignore the messenger and take the message (in reference to 'Dele Davido'). |

| Re: Dele Momodu: A Special Evening With Osinbajo, The Acting President by seunmsg(m): 10:34am On Jul 08, 2017 |
Sapiosexuality:Very very wrong and unfair assessment. You don't expect Osinbajo to be fully active as president when the substantive president is still very much around. |
| Re: Dele Momodu: A Special Evening With Osinbajo, The Acting President by Sapiosexuality(m): 10:39am On Jul 08, 2017 |
seunmsg:It's easy to think that it is not. That is what calmness does when we don't fully observe. He's just a calm man who have shown strength in making peace. But he doesn't have the will to execute justice despite being a lawyer. There can't be peace when people are angry. There can't be peace without justice. His understanding and execution of power and justice is amateurish. It's easy to see it the other way round. |

2019 campaigns in full gear. Afonjas will reap what they sowed in 2015. |
| Re: Dele Momodu: A Special Evening With Osinbajo, The Acting President by seunmsg(m): 10:50am On Jul 08, 2017 |
Sapiosexuality:Can you properly define the kind of justice you want him to execute? Considering the fact that the substantive president is still very much around, don't you think he's very much incapacitated right now to initiate any radical changes to the way things are done? Nigeria is a very complex country to lead and it is even more complicated when the president is in acting capacity and not fully in charge. The current regime is still the Buhari presidency and we must not forget that fact. When we get to an Osinbajo presidency, you can then assess his performance and determine if he can execute justice the way you want to see it done. |

Give Osinbajo full powers as President then watch him for 1 year until then I can do my assessments and judgment on him. |

seunmsg:What everybody needs is an opportunity to showcase once capability, there maybe no second chance, if does well with this one even if he falls out with the cabal he may get a second chance with the people but if he preferr the cabal to the people, then am sorry.he cannot be removed by the presidency but can be removed by the legislators but see how amateaurish he is handling the matter, When there are several others that can do a better job than magu without the bagage, |

| Re: Dele Momodu: A Special Evening With Osinbajo, The Acting President by seunmsg(m): 12:23pm On Jul 08, 2017 |
surgical:Buhari appointed Magu and not Osinbajo. It will amount to serious insubordination for the acting president to remove Magu when he (Magu) still enjoys the confidence of the substantive president. In fact, only an amateur political analyst will advice the acting president to handle the Magu issue in another way. |

Dele Momodu is a horrible Ass-licker and praise singer. Always talking about how he met with MKO, Buhari, Tinubu and even Jesus christ. I can never keep this type of person near me. |
| Re: Dele Momodu: A Special Evening With Osinbajo, The Acting President by Maduawuchukwu(m): 12:54pm On Jul 08, 2017 |
seunmsg:The issue here is that the body saddled with the task of confirming him has rejected him not once but twice so he has to go. There is a reason why the law makes provision for confirmation which implies that one cannot be in acting capacity forever. Osibanjo is merely trying to use mischief to achieve his aims and the courts will put him in his place. |
