That was due to bad weather. Safety first.

Even a plane that develops mechanical fault mid air can touch down at any near by airport or than the one it originated from or destination.

Though Arik should have organise buses to take the passangers to actual destination. But the situation was a force majeur.

Medview is good though they cover majorly the northern region. They do Uk and Jeddah too.

Arik goes to almost all cities in nigeria with airport... they disappoint quite alright but they are trying abeg.

Airpeace is my fave... they are known for their delays but them dey try.

Nigerians like to complain about errtn... if the plane had crashed, this same set of people would badmouth the airline.

The airline should have just arranged a bus to convey the passengers to their destination.

She should just thank God for the averted death. Simple.

Apart from the Oyo-Ogbomoso route, there are other better routes.

1. Osogbo-Erin-Offa-Ajase-Ilorin route -- a bit farther than usual with a mixture of good and not so good roads but very sparse number of trucks.

2. Osogbo-Ilobu-Iresa-Ogbomoso-Ilorin -- shorter route, very good road by about 90% due to low usage because most people do not know of this route and practically, no trucks.

I use either routes when going to Ilorin from Lagos. I just make sure I do my usual Lag-Ibadan 35 mins drive and Ibadan to Osogbo 1 hr 15 mina drive before I decide what route to go.

I drove through Ogbomoso-Oyo once and I almost had a head ob collision with a truck while overtaking. Ever since I nor ever touch that road again no matter what.

I would love to travel these roads in the future.

I'm ashamed to admit that I know more US cities than Nigerian ones

This is an understatement. Better to fly Airpeace than Arik. The airline is a very useless one.

The only wrong thing I know they did was that their tfare to Ibadan wasnt taken care of,because in bad weather,safe landing is better than crash landing.

Bro, those guys are terrible. They left me frustrated and angry last month on my visit to lagos from Sam Mbakwe airport Owerri. After shifting the time from 8:40 am to 11:45 am, we had a stopover at Uyo just to pick some passengers and wasted an hour there.

Someone suggested alternate routes to you and instead of you to thank him for his time . Only negativity squeals out of you. You don't need to go far to know shitty people with lack of home training.

Yeah...Those places are camps so says someone from the east which is littered with poverty and high rates of kidnapping and armed robbery so much that every corper is told not to stay out after 6pm in Isiala Ngwa especially and most parts of the East for fear of being kidnapped, raped or robbed..

Loool. Sirs, it depends on what part of Lagos you leave from & when you start counting. I should have clearly stated I reside around Mowe-Ibafo (i referred to it as Lagos to stay in line with the Op) and yes my maximum to Ibadan is 40 mins & I start counting from Sagamu-Abk bridge. By Ibadan I do not mean Iwo Road but rather, the bridge where Lead CU is at. I reduce speed from that point onwards till I get to airport road where I start counting again - if I'm going beyond Ibadan that is.
