I'd like a clarification on this pls, especially that of "first name" and "last name".

e.g OLAWALE KANU MUSA....Which is the last name and which is the first name??

Last Name - Surname

Your surname comes first before your middle and last name. In this case, OLAWALE is the first name and KANU is the last name.

First name is your birth name..the name they gave you when you were born. Last name is your surname Middle name is your second name which you get through religion or other means.

surname is the name of your parent which u bear.it comes first. first name is the name your parents give u first ,it comes after the surname. middle name is the name u get through religion,it comes after the first name.

Middle name is also referred to as Other name

And Finally, your First name is what everybody calls you. The first name in your birth certificate provided the arrangement didn't start with your Surname.

Officially, names are to be written this way:

Surname : Firstname: Middle name.

To be sincere Last name = Surname

I swear I don't understand

Why do you think they refer to your real name as first name and other names as middle name? Your arrangement is not universal.
Its your first name first, followed by your middle names usually in initials and lastly your surname usually in capital letters or bolded form
