This is because Noah's covenant is as good as expired. When last did you see a rainbow? The end is near. Please, repent and give your life to Christ.

The rate at which we experience flood this year is scary!

People need to stop dumping refuse into canals, which blocks free flow of drainages!
Everyone knows that, but where do they dump them? There's no other means of disposing refuse in most part o the country, including the FCT.
So it's not totall our fault in my own opinion. Our Ministry of Environment, Health and Housing have to work together to tackle this problem.

Our Safety & Heath orientation very backward.Even among the so called educated folks. May God help all of us.
MTN is running your phone networks,Shoprite rules the retail scene ,Shell pumps the oil ,Chinaman builds the railway and foreign airlines carry most Nigerian bound passengers .

Now with this mess here and all other foreign touch above ,its about time you call back the white man to run the show..

Not only in Lagos, my brother! It happens in almost every part of the country! Nigerians are special breed of people, they're the ones that will cause problems and still be complaining of the problems caused by them!

It's good as we're learning the hard way, maybe, just maybe, that will trigger positive changes in the perpetrators!
When you have a people that are poor , hungry , totally lack any form of orientation/discipline and properly not educated what else do you expect from such a population!
We have a fundamental problem and nobody is even willing to take a stand until it hits us like this .

RIP to the dead . The flood situation is all over the world not only Nigeria , it's not a thing of punishment or plague , it's a natural disaster. Now my question is why is anyone not making a meme out of this , only those in lekki deserves it ?? I did a story and funny enough Nairaland Mods didn't push it , I give up on that ! Makes me come to the next point , with what we just saw happened , the government of Lagos had tried but not enough , if this happened in Lagos by now no houses would be left on the surface .My opinion though

This is tragic.

We are buffeted on every side, Hunger, epidemics, cult killings, bokoharam, flooding and a missing President.

Is there any hope in sight?

Will it get worse before it gets better?

It wil surely get better...no matter how worse it may appear 4 now.

Don't forget a seed wil dry up before sprouting...so letz hope all dis news wil bring a positive awareness and development.

Makes you wonder what all the local government and state government allocations had been put into. Abject poverty and deprivation is all I see there.

The politicians would only show up when the next election is around the corner with the guilible ones falling over themselves for three cups of rice and may be sugar.

I hate to say this but we're cursed!

I sympathize with d dead. Our drainage systems are poor and water channel/way are sold to individuals to build houses on them. Not until we vote sensible and enlighten people thats when things will really work in Nigeria. What we have presently especially the youths are talks of ego battle amongst apc and pdp, no productive reasoning. But if it's to support one thug turn politician then our brains go dey work fast. We should all wake up and make things work

Unfortunately it will not.
Human beings easily forget. Except there is a law to bring defaulters to book and orientation campaign, we will continue to experience this unfortunate experience.

This is not the first time we are experiencing flood in this country. It's just a matter of which state is being affected and when.

The government needs to do something!

Re: 20 Persons Killed In Suleja Flood by bigtt76(f): 11:28am On Jul 10, 2017
Its a company called FarmCrowdy. They pool funds from farm sponsors and proceed to engaging farmers round the country, fund their farming inputs and processes with the agreement that at the end of the farming season, they proceeds are shared as agreed while the principal sum invested by the farm sponsors are paid back to them.

For example, farms available for sponsorship includes but not limited to Poultry, Cassava, Maize, Soya beans and Rice farms with each having a farming period and profit sharing percentage attached to the investments.

Poultry farm - 5 months @15%
Cassava Farm - 9 months @25%
Maize Farm - 6 months @18%

All you need to do is select one and make the payment, all the necessary logistics would be handled by them. lastly it is backed by Leadway Insurance so anyway which way, your money invested is not lost. Please add me as referral when signing up. Cassava farm opens in 1 hour.

Re: 20 Persons Killed In Suleja Flood by bigtt76(f): 2:22pm On Jul 10, 2017
All you need to do is visit the website as stated in my signature and make your payment using your card or direct bank account debit. Don't forget to add my referral code kiss Rush so you meet up. 250 farms started this afternoon now is about 200 left.

You may need to contact the management on the Maize plantation sponsorship thing. I'm sure they would most oblige you except that they usually help you with the farm inputs which are improved varieties. All the best
