Guys, tell me what you think.

So back in my school days, I had lost the keys to my car and being a broke student at time, I did not have the money to spend on a tow ($100) + new keys. So I started praying.

Now you might be there thinking, why is this guy praying for ordinary car keys

The reason for me praying over my lost car keys, obviously besides not wanting to go lose like $200 and be left with like $50 for the semester, was that, at the time, I was deeply religious. Maybe religious is not the right word, I'd say I felt God's presence in my life. Almost close enough to touch at some points, maybe that was just my emotions, but, I digress...

So I pray to God, telling him that I really didnt want to use my last money for the semester on a tow and that I can't leave my car parked in a parking lot far away for months untill I got more money. Heck, my car might not even have survived a week before being stolen or broken into.

After about 2 days, panick set in so I decided to empty my bank account to use for tow fees and new car keys.

I call the tow company and the tell me that they are out of trucks, so I would have to wait for about an hour or two.

So I decided to head to the computer lab. Met up with a friend and was just lamenting about my key issue and how I'm going to be broke the rest of the semester.

Then he asked me if I've called the professor of the class, where I lost my keys.

It didn't make sense to me to call the professor though, cause I wasn't even sure where I had lost it, before class, during class, after class. Plus it was a Saturday, so I'm thinking why would I call my professor on Saturday

Anyways, I said, what the heck I pulled up his number and called him with not much hope at all.

I asked him if he had seen any car keys after class. He gave a depressing response, as he say "NO"

As expected, why would my professor see my keys

... But just as I was about to hang up the phone, he said, "I saw some keys though, on my way home on the street, I picked it up and put the on the traffic light base"


Noooooooooooooo

It cant be, can it I thought

I rushed out of the lab straight to the street he mentioned, checked the traffic light Base and there they were, my keys :-)

Too much to be a coincidence

It's either your friend saw your Professor picking up the key or saw him or someone like him putting it up on the traffic light base or he just made a wild guess and it worked.

How many coincidences though

First, remember I said, I prayed to find the keys.

Second, on the day I decided to tow the car, if the tow company actually had trucks available at the time I called, I wouldn't have had the time to go to the computer lab as it would have taken them less than 20mins to arrive.

Third, if I didn't go to the computer lab, I wouldn't have met the friend that suggested I call my professor.

Fourth, Now, it's not like my professor said he found the keys in class, NO! He found the keys on the STREET as he was walking home.

Fifth, my professor picked up this random key, while most people walking on the STREET would simply have ignored it.

Sixth, even if one of the other thousands of people picked the key up, I wouldn't know who they were and wouldn't Have access to them or my keys.

Lastly, the icing on the cake is the fact that, he placed it on a traffic light Base and two days later, I go to that traffic light and I retrieve the it.

Could so many coincidences occur simultaneously

It's not very often in Dallas, that you call a tow truck company for assistance and they tell you that they don't have trucks.

Lastly, imagine a key in the middle of the street. Not in a closed classroom or a closed toilet, but a street were thousands of students/ordinary folks use. Then of all the people walking on that street, it's my professor who happened to pick it up. Same professor I wouldn't have called, if not for my friend. Same friend I wouldn't have met, if the tow company actually sent a truck as usual when I called.

Remember, the friend suggested I call the professor cause he thought I may have left it in class, which may be common. Meanwhile, the professor found the key on the street.

Interesting. That is a lot of coincidences. I can't explain it! Do you think it was a miracle?

Yes, I believe it was, cause I remember being on my knees praying specifically for a solution to the issue of my keys.

Funny thing is, as a more mature adult, I probably wouldn't pray if I lost my keys today. I'd simply just handle it financially, but back then, I felt I had to pray.

Shows me that there is power in prayer, even over the little things that bug us.

I also was very prayerful then, singing praises to God in the darkness. I must confess though, that at no other moment in my life had I ever felt a connection to God that was so strong. I sought him daily and praising him then didn't seem like a chore, but gave me a sense of comfort.

From what you mentioned here, your friend made an educated guess (it's not out of place to think that your professor saw your keys when he assumed that you lost them in class) which coincidentally, happened to be correct.
So, I'll put it down to a mixture of an educated guess plus coincidence

Even coincidence they say is "when God chooses to be anonymous"
