duni04:First of all Your ignorance attitude render my peaceful advocacy useless Are you at the court venue ? No one hired thugs or miscreants to disrupt the court proceedings , most of the people you see in the picture taken at the court premises are staffs and ASUU members Most of the students are preparing for tests which is scheduled to hold this week , so no one is ready to waste his/her travelling to Ede to shout and jump.. Meanwhile ASUU OAU only declared a two day solidarity strike for the arrested acting VC , Students are not involved in the struggle at all |

Adebola02:The title of the thread reads "OAU staff and students go wild". I'm not the OP of the thread or the mod. I didn't author the thread. Secondly, it's quiet shameful that an OAU student would use "ignorance attitude" in a sentence like you just did. I wonder what on earth goes on in that school these days. When I was there, people like you could only be found at the Federal Poly Ede or the School of Science. Not Great Ife. The Standard has really dropped. |

duni04:Duni04, I had been following your posts on this thread with some interest, especially since they largely mirrored my views (which I stated forcefully in a previous thread). You sounded like an intelligent, well-educated individual. Unfortunately, you did eventually show your hand. Unless you retract the shameful slur above, you sir, are a disgrace to intellectuals, whoever you are. |

Its just like if aregbe is impeached and an interim head was appointed and he pays off all money owed civil servant. Then when a new gov was elected he probes d interim head for paying d civil servants with d money he would ave used to settle his god-fathers and fuçk two prostitutes at the same time n tags it embezzlement of funds. |

duni04:so how come omole is still a free man ,those of us in Oau know those that are using efcc to hound this man, its omole that should be in the dock not elujoba |
| Re: OAU Staff, Students Go Wild In Ede As Court Remands Ex-VC by duni04(m): 5:35pm On Jul 11, 2017 |
onyxo76:So the same Omole got the EFCC to establish a case against Elujoba? The same omole is planning to bribe the judge and pronounce Elujoba guilty? The same Omole will then go to the Court of Appeal and bribe the Judges there to support the Ede courts guilty verdict? You're not making sense here. If the man is innocent of the charges and he's really being framed then why not wait for the courts verdict? Why all the drama and noise? Besides if Omole is the guilty one and not Elujoba then why hasn't anybody in the entire University community of OAU IFE bothered to write a petition against Omole to the EFCC? Or nobody in OAU Ife knows the postal address of the EFCCs Zonal office in Ibadan? Or the entire University community in Ife does not know how to draft a petition to the EFCC? All this ranting and daring on Nairaland is of no use. |

onyxo76:Please stop the misinformation already. This is a post I made on a previous tread on this topic: GambaOsaka:Sanity? Only because he was able to pacify the unions by getting their (our!) allowances paid from wrong sources. This kept the union's dogs of war at bay for a while, but at the cost of truly messing up the system to the extent that university administration became beholden to non-teaching staff unions! I had high hopes for Elujoba when he took office, but he messed up. Not in terms of corruption, but in terms of (no other word) ineptitude. If you doubt me, ask anybody in OAU, be it student, teaching and non teaching staff, even the popular town igboro drivers felt his impact. There is more to university administration than seeking popularity by paying staff allowances using a university's endowment funds(!!!) among other things. Rejecting qualified hands for leadership posts because they had good working relationships with Omole, and placing (in many case) inept people at the helm of affairs?? Believe me, OAU was well on the way down, even as staff basked in the afterglow of the N300,000 allowance. This is a witchhunt orchestrated by the Omole-Salami group.I personally suspect the initial report must have indeed come from them. Unfortunately for Elujoba, there was something to it, and so, whatever the original reason for the EFCC's spotlight, there is *definitely* substance for the case to stand on. Do you know he came within a cat's whiskers of being fired by the Minister for the payment of those allowances? Contrary to the myth spread by the unions, the minister's ire was not because he paid his staff money, but because he raised the money from sources any sane administrator would not touch. Part of the sources of the allowances paid: millions in endowment donations paid by Adeboye and others, money held for research and special purposes by the Grants and Agencies unit. That's irresponsible! I truly liked Elujoba at the beginning. And, believe me, I am not an Omole man by any stretch of imagination. But when Elujoba started making unguarded utterances, I started realizing he was a poor administrator. He joined the unions in smearing the names and reputations of his predecessors, but is it not strange that till today, there is no case against any of them, even though Elujoba and his people had access to all university records for over a year?? #FreeElujoba I support you on this. Free him. Not because what he did was not (at least) textbook misappropriation, but because he did it ignorantly, and his emergence did indeed douse tensions at a time when it seemed OAU might be razed to the ground. |

duni04:I see you have pretended not to see my last comment to you. We may appear to be on the same side on this issue, but I want you to know that inside your apparently-educated heart lurks a bitter bigot. And while you may be cavalier about labeling an entire tribe cowards, the true coward is one who cannot bring himself to apologize even when he himself recognizes that he has erred (I cannot believe someone as apparently educated as yourself does not realize the flaw in such a stupid generalization). |

proffemi:Omole cabal stop spreading rumours around. Omole has several petitions against him at EFCC but the twin sister of OAU CSO who works there blocked every petition against him. I don't think you really know what is happening in OAU. |

OAUTemitayo:Who is this clown calling me a member of Omole's cabal? Here is another of my previous posts: GambaOsaka:Favorable disposition to Omole? Not at all. Check my post history. Prof. Femi is rabid about high-quality education, and nothing else. Omole was a proud, pompous individual whose hubris was painful to see, and whose arrogance far outreached the quality of his scholarship. Salami was (in my opinion) a little smarter than Omole, but was too much of a schemer. I saw the schemings of his group, and saw the many people earmarked for various positions, and knew that if they got to actualize their plans, OAU was screwed. So, no, I am not a supporter of either man. However, as I have said, my only problem is that they were made to suffer undeserved character assassination, and many of the things they were accused of, Elujoba and his administration did the same! Do you even know that Elujoba's Director, VC's office ran into trouble within that 1 year? |

OAUTemitayo:Here's another previous post to educate you: GambaOsaka:I laugh. I am close to some of the people who wrote those reports. I have of course read them. Let me give you just one example. A lot of todo was made about Salami embezzling (I think) ten million naira from the one of the distance learning programs. The man came out with a strong rebuttal that showed that (a) the task force did not interview him (b) the funds in question were appropriated for URC grants (c) the disbursement was even approved and reflected in minutes of meetings!!! You see, I am one of those who were (are) totally unconvinced that Salami could be a good OAU VC (I have my reasons). But unsuitability for the job is one thing, and character assassination is quite another. |

duni04:you seem toy have a very high stake iin this case as seen from every counter comment in this thread to answer your question as to why nobody has petitioned efcc, its quite simple several petitions have been written on omole but one of his principal officers who served vwith him has a brother in efcc who has made sure that those petitions don't get treated, if you know anyone in oau you can confirm this fact, everybody knows what omole did in his 5 year tenure, you may not understand because you're obviously not an oau stakeholder all we want is justice and not witch hunting. |

duni04:Mr Man or Mrs ... whatever Its obvious you are ignorant of the happenings on OAU campus. Which OAU students do you know? The level of solidarity displayed by all groups on OAU campus in support of the Ex-Ag VC should be enough to preach that this man is a just man. Never has there been cooperation between ASUU, NAAT and NASU on issues on OAU campus as this. Please always ask when you are in the dark. Don't just come on the internet and type trash. why I dey put please set? |

onyxo76:I'm sure you can tell from my posts that not only am I in OAU, but I'm also relatively well-informed. Friendly advise: run away from the phrase "everybody know...". For example, in my generation, everybody knows that Thunder Balogun (a famous footballer) once killed someone with a football. Infact, most members of my generation can tell you how he did it. Problem is, it never happened. Case in point: you say everyone knows what Omole did. And yet, after having access to all the records for 1 year, and after so many task forces, isn't it queer that there is no convincing evidence? If there is, I want you to show me (I hope the White Paper from their reports is still online). Nigerians like clinging to a theory even long after the facts stop supporting it! I wonder why none of you will face me and rubbish my arguments. Look, what is happening to Prof, Elujoba is sad. He is a good man. Unfortunately, he is also a naive man, and he let the unions railroad him into trouble. |

proffemi:Sir, it's not character assassination that prevented Salami from being the substantive VC. 1. Fact was he associated clearly with Omole! 2. His candidacy was clearly supported by Omole and his cabal. .3. Everybody knows the anticedents or Omole. 4. It's easier to associate with like minds 5. As a result, people concluded that Salami coming from Omole caucus would be a case of jumping from frying pan into HELLFIRE. That was why NASU kicked against it. And the whole process was skewed in his support. |
| Re: OAU Staff, Students Go Wild In Ede As Court Remands Ex-VC by proffemi: 9:16pm On Jul 11, 2017 |
OAUTemitayo:Oh, you are not getting me. Personally, I was 100% against Salami's candidacy. And even for me, the support of the Omole administration was a big minus. But you are not getting what I mean my character assasination. Many of the things that have been said and printed about Salami and Omole still cannot be substantiated, and yet, even intelligent people (sadly, including our dear Prof Elujoba!) bleated them on. That is character assassination. I hope it is clear that I am not a fan of either Salami or Omole. That notwithstanding, they are both individuals who have obviously put a lot of work into building their careers and reputations. They don't deserve to have their names dragged in mud (unless there is evidence, in which case, I will personally drive them to jail! ) |

proffemi:I understand your point sir. Though there is no factual evidence to support your statement that Elujoba was part of those running the campaign of calumny against Salami (at least none overtly) NASU members were actually the one that dealth with Salami and his Omole cabal. Elujoba simply grabbed popcorn and watchedthe mortal kombat |
| Re: OAU Staff, Students Go Wild In Ede As Court Remands Ex-VC by proffemi: 9:28pm On Jul 11, 2017 |
OAUTemitayo:Yes, Elujoba partook in the mess. I have been in meetings where Elujoba spoke and I was aghast. He so freely (and naively) made incendiary statements that the unions would obviously misinterpret. So, wittingly or not, he partook in the shameful smear campaign. |
