If you think cfc will sign a player solely to bench Cahil, the only English player starting for us then you are on a long thing.

Really? It is just abt being English now and not if the player is good enuff? Anyways, I will forever be pleased to see Cahill play that LCB for us than sodje rudiger.

It was actually this point I was making when we got linked to rudiger. While most of us agreed we needed to upgrade Cahills position last season,one will expect any player coming in will be strictly for that purpose but it ain't the case.

We have a utility player who I don't see dislodging moses or Azpi from their positions and definitely can't play Cahills position. This begs the qxn,why did we sell Ake who looked comfortable enough playing as a LCB to buy a player who is not comfortable enough playing as a LCB?

I cant just wrap my head around what chelsea is planning to do with him. I dont want to believe he was bought as a squad player. Azpi played very well and i cant see how he will play ahead of him in a crucial match as rcb. My only issue with ake was that he may not be up there yet in terms of experience, and i believe he needs to play regularly to aid his development. I was expecting bonucci or van dijk, so i didnt see anything wrong in selling him with a buy-back clause. Now we cant even tell specifically, where this rudiger will improve in our defence.

hensben:
Cahil is not that bad of a defender, besides no big club parade an exceptional defender this days bar maybe Juventus, and same juve defenders conceded 4 against Real Madrid side. Btw, it is not possible we sign sandro, van dirjk and a top CF/ST in same transfer window due to the fee, even if we have the money to do so.

Cahill is not bad, but we should be looking beyond epl title defence. If we target ucl semi final, is that bad? Do you think 1v1, griezmann vs cahill , we're safe? Do you think cahill wont cave in under pressure with more matches to play unlike last season? He even showed frailties last term that shouldnt be ignored.

This our club is a poorly managed club

Bayern has like 6 class midfielders and they still sign James

No 'monitoring',No long medicals,No 'deliberation'..........AGREEMENT straight

This James issue is not a matter of poor management. I just read an article that shed some light on factors that made the deal this smooth.

1. Bayern and Madrid are on very good relationship terms. They have had very good transactions between them for the past few seasons. Robben to Madrid, xabi for kross etc. Many at times, 2 clubs relationships determines either a smooth execution of transfer or reluctance of transfers.
For instance, it's no hidden knowledge that Everton and Chelsea are now having a very strained relationship and that might have played role in this lukakugate. Chelsea/vitesse is an example of a good working relationship between clubs.

2. Ancelloti played a very vital role in that transfer. James best spell to date came under Ancelloti's guidance and management so both of them are very much familiar and have an established working relationship.

3. Automatic first team slot in a big team. Bayern needed new wingers to replace their aged ones, and also a new AMF which is his best position, so there are available slots for him to easily slot in. Something Chelsea and Man-U couldn't offer. James coming here would have left us scratching our heads as we already had many wingers and whether he would have adapted to a new role up top is left for a debate.

4. The EPL wealth factor which I already highlighted below

donjazet:
Wenger was absolutely correct when he said that there are 2 transfer markets currently, one for the EPL and another general market.

Madrid have been valuing James at 60m to 70m thinking that an EPL team, either Man-U or Chelsea will take the bait, just like Morata right now, when none of them did and James started agitating for a move, they had to now dispatch him for the only club that came for an absolutely ridiculous deal.

There's no way, they would have done this type of deal with an English club.
The EPLs excessive wealth has become a disadvantage to it.

All clubs in Europe double the value of a player once an EPL team comes for them. They'll strong-arm the English clubs. It's a very unfortunate situation.

There is no way Morata is worth 70m, if it were a team like Sevilla, napoli, Dortmund, he'll be sold for a maximum price of 45-50m. It's very unfortunate indeed.

So Bigkesh. It isn't really about poor management this time. One can just say this deal is just an exception to the norm influenced by various factors.

As at today the only 2 players they've signed are younger than their predecessor

How some of you manages to drag a whole lot of gibberish to this board scares me at times.

So one GIF now defines a player's overall play? Like one particular action analyses a player's strengths and weaknesses? Mehn this is beer parlor punditry at its best.

I have seen RVP waltz past JT with relative ease, leaving our then captain for dead in an EPL game. I have also seen Ayew reduce JT to a belly dancer in an EPL game. If your beer parlor punditry is anything to go by, JT is simply a useless defender who defends stupidly innit?

Over the years, I have seen many decent defs who were unfortunate to fall for a player's guile and artistry. It had never been anything new and will never be anything new. Some of those moments includes; Senderos vs Drogba, Ferdinard vs Aiyegbeni, Ashley Cole vs C Ronaldo, Every Defender vs Ronaldinho, Puyol vs Di Maria, Boateng vs Messi, Luiz vs Suarez, Ivanovic vs Montero, Smalling vs Kante, Koscielny vs Hazard, Batra vs Bale and many more and more.

I am sure the almighty Baresi had his moment too. It's nothing new. I play footie almost every week and I see adjudged top defs fall for cheap tricks. Like who doesn't?

So why is Rudiger getting the sticks for his? You all would be making sense if getting mopped on the turf is actually a thing Rudiger is known for but unfortunately it isn't.

The nigga's weaknesses from what i've seen are delivering decent crosses and committing fouls. It's nothing near falling like a bag of cement when approached with the ball. His performances at the just concluded Confederations Cup speaks volume of the player he is.

Say NO to beer parlor punditry and analyse a player's strengths and weaknesses with more than one blip.

Moreover, Conte's backline is always that water-tight with enough protection guaranteed from the short devil in midfield, so why create a debate that doesn't even exist?

Despite being my nigga, I still have my fears about Rudiger and it's the one fact that he is injury prone. That is an angle y'all should be concerned about.

I'm trying to come up with past experience on things I've done before on 2 topics for an interview;

1)Leading and communicating;

Think about a scenario in your past experience where you've been a leader (team lead) and you were able to carry your team along and communicated well with them

2) Building capability for all;

Has to do with you identifying that your team member is lacking a skill and how you went about it.

Kindly assist pls as it is very urgent...

It all depends on where you worked and the experience. Engineering will be different from IT and from accounting

Form stories about what you did in your past project

E.g
1. The first question can be structured like you were the team lead on this project with 7 team members. You had a kickoff meeting where every members responsibility and task was clearly defined, You ensured continuous communication by havng a stand up meeting for 30 minutes each morning where every member communicates their achievement till date, their goals for the day and challenges. The challenges if its a roadblock you as the team lead took it on to approach management for it(If its about getting stuff from client), If its a knowledge gap you found someone in the team to teach

You had timelines you have to finish each task and also how much hours to be spent to avoid going over budget. All these ensured your project was delivered on time, to clients specification tested and on budget

2. My above example has given how you approached it. E.g on an IT project you have a team member who was struggling with writing some codes, You reviewed his initial code, reffered him to some online training materials to go through over the weekend the monday you went through the code written and debugged it with him

Danilo is a good signing for that RWB position. I have in the past expressed my concern about Moses being our sole RWB guy. We need like two to three fellas vying for one spot. That's healthy competition.

Good to have a player who has a decent delivery and good off the ball movement coming in to give Victor a run for his money.

More signings abeg.

Oga griffon forget the epistle you typed. I dropped more than one gif where he defended stupidly. Cahill didnt do more than that when we asked for him to be replaced cos we are going for ucl and not just going there to participate like olympiacos or besiktas, but to compete to win it. Real madrid and barca hardly coughs out 35m on a defender vulnerable like this. Attached is how rudiger did last term in serie a. If manolas could outperform him as cb and was almost sold for 26m, why should chelsea buy rudiger for 35m? We need cahill's upgrade not another rb. Chelsea should be going for the best players around not germany's second team defender. When we put manolas and rudiger beside each other we dont need extra brain to know who will improve our defence. Roma played a fast one on us and it's a shame. So keep your beer parlour delusions to yourself.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Christensen is a RCB.

In that case I see Azpi going over to LCB to compete with Cahill cos that RCB is too populated.

With all the CBs we now have, we coulda pushed Azpi to RWB to compete with Moses.
