We really need to be careful about what we peddle all in the name of dispelling what we had long known.

What is brisket?
The Brisket is a cut of meat from the breast or lower chest of beef or veal.

Often times, the 'meat' we often ask Suya sellers for are actually briskets.

Let's talk biscuit bone now, shall we?

To a typical Nigerian, the 'biscuit bone' is a cartilaginous bone and it is a 'special bone' in this part of the country. One thing I must point out is that cartilages are not found in briskets, and the reason for this is because briskets do not contain bones.

Why the origin of the word 'biscuit bone' may be lost to us, taking a primal part of a beef to be cartilaginous is totally wrong. Cartilages are connective tissues and are only found in joints (an image of 'biscuit bones' below).

In summary, there is no such thing as 'brisket bones', particularly in reference to cartillages.

So, does your post imply that biscuit bone is correct?

In all honesty, 'biscuit bone' is fashioned and not proper English words so long we are referring to the cartilaginous parts we love.

The only 'biscuit bone' known to the world is a typical biscuit or cookie shaped like a bone, and most times, used in feeding dogs.

This is a very clear clarification of the controversy.

Lalasticlala, this should be on FP.
