Thank you for your prompt response.

When I submitted EE I'd put CAD$27,000 as the amount of money I have but in light of these new expenses my balance will go down. Can I change the amount in my application for PR to CAD$25,000 seeing that it is still above the required CAD$ 22,856?

freeradical:
I also have a family of four and I paid $2380 CAD. I paid for both application and RPR fees

I say this bcz i did a CSE over 20 busineas days ago but am yet to receive an acknowledgment from CIC and the uncertainty is killing. With d mind playing ping pong. Im asking myself Will it be seen on time before BG?

@baby84 wait out the two weeks. U may be anxious now, but trust me u are better off submitting every document at once.

Hello house,

I am trying to shore up my account by including my money market investment, pension and land.

Am i to just get the last 6 months statement of account of the investment and pension in addition to that of the bank account. The land has a central C-of-O which I don not have and its value has gone up a bit. Can I include it without selling the land and how do I show its present value?

People, for the naija police report am I supposed to upload just the pink certificate or do I need to add the finger print section? I had issues with this certificate in my former application so I need to get it right this time. I uploaded the entire thing the last time and CIC rejected it. Also is the expiry date an issue (3 months) if you live outside naija?

Why would they reject it when you uploaded everything...or perhaps there is something else that is wrong which you don't know.

You need to request for your GCMS notes maybe and probably be sure of why it was reject cause everyone I know upload the entire thing and they' didn't get rejected for it.

I'd also done the maths and totally agree with you. Converting it will be better in the short run. However, we're reluctant to change our POF to Naira because of Naira's volatility. We're concerned that if Naira crashes again, we'll be left with a whole less than we'd be making if we leave it in dollars now. Besides, we'll ultimately change all our money to dollars if and when we get PPR being that Naira can't be assessed outside the shores of Nigeria.

We'll think about it critically again and decide whether or not to change it. Thanks for your suggestion and analysis.

Wrong move. Your POF in Naira will be changed to CAD, and Your USD will be changed to CAD, to check if it meets the requirement.
They will not first convert USD to Naira then to CAD.
(Everyone knows you lose money when you keep changing to different currency)

Please do not waste your money. Provide your USD statement the way it is. DO NOT sell to Aboki to present POF in Naira
Cheers

Hi - I can answer the question on landed property.

From the CIC website , landed property is listed as a PoF. "documents that show property or capital payable to you (such as stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills, etc.)

The Canada visa website suggests that you should get your property valued by three independent companies. These can be real estate agents, property valuation companies etc.Make sure you get the valuation on letter headed paper and signed. Then add the valuations to your PoF to CIC so they can see how much equity you have available.

I'll suggest you use your landed property as back-up PoF and don't solely depend on it as its still a grey area.

All the best!

Hi everyone,

Please I have two questions,

1. in my travel history, I mentioned a country which I traveled to that was in my old passport. An i suppose to add it to the passport upload section or I should add it to LIE.

2. Also, I noticed a slight change in my employment history which was corrected in my reference letter by HR. Is it allowed to make some changes in my emplyement history, if yes should mention in the LOE about this change. Although, the change will not affect my score.

Hello All. I am new to this forum. I have been reading through and I must commend how cooperative, helpful and supportive you all are here.
I got my ITA 10 days ago and I'm arranging my documents.
However,I'm worried about my NOC - Architecture being a regulated profession.
Do I have to go through the Canadian Architects registration process to be successful in my APR?
Was i right to do my ECA with WES, rather than the CACB?
I have 15 months experience as a construction manager and supervisor, but 6.5 years as an Architect. I'm wondering if I should just use one of the other two as they are not regulated.
I would appreciate any help I can get on the process for regulated professions, especially- Architecture. Thanks.

Also, I have half my POF in my wifes account in Canada (she's there on PGWP, but I surprisingly got a higher CRS score and the ITA). Does the POF have to be in the PA's name or we can prepare a document stating that our funds are mutual and shared?

Thanks again.

In other not to derail the thread, i'd try make this post short and probably leave the argument as it is, more so, the OP got the intent of my message.

To begin with, I never said VO will change USD to NGN first, then to CAD. In fact, I clearly stated ALL currencies will be changed to a base currency (CAD)!

Secondly, I never encouraged the OP to change the dollar to naira and then back to dollar. I am too aware (and sure she is) that money will be lost in the process.

Please see for yourself what $10,000 equates to in CAD and what "same" N3,670,000 equates to in CAD. Even if you decide to change USD to NGN and then back to USD, Sir, the short run benefit for someone whose POF is a little bit off target outweighs the monetary value she'd lose in the process of conversions.

And what you seem to forget, I don't even need to sell the dollar to have the naira equivalent!. I'd leave details of that out.
Regards.

Hello all, I am just new to this program and I earnestly would want to get to Canada.

I would want a guide to put me through the process from the beginning.

I am a software developer, and I have been developing apps for over 3 years.

I will be grateful if anyone can render help and support to assist my registration and acceptance process.

Many thanks.

hi - R10 is the completeness check stage 1, where the VO is responsible for reviewing your application for completeness. For the case of PCCs, they check that the following specs are ticked off correctly -

- Police certificates are typically valid for one year from the date they are issued.

- For the applicant’s current country of residence, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before submission of the e-APR.

- For countries in which the applicant no longer lives, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the client lived in that country.

Note that the personalized document checklist provided to applicants in their online account does not prompt applicants for individual police certificates based on their declared residence and travel history; rather, applicants must determine which police certificates are required as part of their application and must compile the police certificates into a single file to upload as a single supporting document.

If you did all this in your 1st app and it was still inadequate, then I'm not sure what went wrong.

All the best with this one

My HR gave me one letter stating the different job title and roles. But in my EE I listed the title as different roles. Can I upload one letter in the different placeholder fpr employment.
