SwiftNerd:
So that's your new line of defense? Saying he's been posting same pics again. most of the companys you yorubas posted, I just geeked out on them. Most of them are either struggling or dieing away. If you have read this book by Ryn Holiday "Trust me am lieing," you will very much understand how easy it is to get fake press coverage and falsified hype on whatever you are producing or servicing.

There are over 50,000 of good semi big scale businesses worthy of press cover in Abia state alone, but you don't see them making noise for fake PR.

And if you ask why don't the Igbos do same, well we don't need. Our products service at least 65% of the SS markets, more than 75% of the SE, and roughly 45% of the Nigeria market. With good plans to expand to more larger and greener part of Africa.

Even with the strangulating policies enacted by the government, a lot had been achieved.... More could still be done. Kudos to the Igbos
Oga, stop that lie, abeg. shocked Most products made in the Southeast do not enjoy market acceptance in many parts of the North, Southwest and Middle belt. In fact, if you go to many of the local markets in the areas I mentioned, hardly will you find most of the products made in the Southeast. sad Why?? A lot of your products fall far short on quality standards. Oya, tell me how many showrooms Innoson has in the North, Middle belt and Southwest.

Let me know how many of the noodles, pasta and tissue products made in the Southeast are the market leaders within their product category, in different parts of the country. sad Most of the goods produced in the Southeast, are distributed within your region, and remain within the SS and SE. So continue being local champions over there within your enclave, biko. Don't bother sending those products down to Lagos and other parts of the country, because very few folks would buy them.

Nigerian Army orders nine Ara MRAPs from Proforce
YORUBAS DO NOT DEAL IN SCRAP METALS THAT THE OJUKUS HAVE BEEN POSTING BUT THE REAL THING ANG RECOGNISED INTERNATIONALLY.

Written by Guy Martin, Friday, 30 September 2016
The Proforce Ara MRAP.Proforce is ready to start production of its new Ara (Thunder) mine-resistant, ambush protected (MRAP) vehicle for the Nigerian Army.

Proforce Limited’s Keji Akerele told defenceWeb that the Nigerian Army is due to receive nine Aras and that the production process has started in conjunction with the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON). Deliveries are expected from 2017.

The Nigerian company’s Ayobami Omotoriogun told IHS Jane's that Proforce has the steel and glass to begin making the three prototypes of the Ara, with the first to be delivered in December, after which the Nigerian military will start testing the vehicle.

The Ara has a length of 5.2 metres and height of 2.4 metres, ground clearance of .25 metres and gross weight of 19 tons. It has a payload of 1.5 tons and is powered by a Cummins engine delivering 300 hp, giving a top speed of 110 km/h.

A 12.7 mm machinegun can be mounted on a 360 degreee roof turret which can be open or fully enclosed. Optional equipment includes slat armour, gun ports and grenade launchers as well as reactive armour, according to Proforce.

Proforce

Proforce was established in 2008 and describes itself as the only private armoured vehicle manufacture in Nigeria specialising in armoured vehicles and personal protection. The company makes armoured tactical vehicles, armoured personnel carriers for military and police, ballistic helmets and vests, armoured cash-in-transit, armoured private and commercial passenger vehicles.

One of Proforce’s main products is the Pf-1 armoured personnel carrier (APC), which has been upgraded to the Pf-2 with bigger wheels and other improvements. The company recently delivered six Pf-2s to the River State police.

The 3.2 ton Pf-2 is armoured against 7.62x51 mm ammunition, grenades and landmines in excess of Stanag 4569 Level 1. It is based on the Toyota Land Cruiser chassis and is powered by a six cylinder four litre engine giving a top speed of 110 km/h and range of 650 km. Payload is between 800 and 1000 kg or 6-8 people. The vehicle has eight gun ports and can mount a turret on the roof. Standard equipment includes an electric winch, air conditioning, public address system and strobe lights.

Other Proforce products include armoured Toyota Hilux vehicles, Special Combat Vehicles (Hilux type vehicles with armour and weapons turrets), armoured patrol boats between 9.5 and 11 metres long, cash in transit vehicles (Toyota Hiace, Hilux, Isuzu etc.), armoured SUVs (e.g. Land Cruiser, Mercedes, Lexus LX570, Cadillac Escalade, Range Rover, FJ Cruiser), armoured passenger busses (Mercedes Viano, Toyota etc.) and armoured sedans.

The company’s body armour range includes helmets, vests and armour plates and it is also marketing RemoEye 006 unmanned aerial vehicle from South Korea.

Proforce operates a 40 000 square metre facility in Ogun State and a 25 000 square metre facility in River State. While it is geared towards meeting Nigerian security needs, the company has also supplied the Rwandan government with APCs and done business with the United Nations.

Abeg, swerve! angry Wasn't it your brother that was posting pictures of Aba-made NYSC uniforms all over the place, claiming that such uniforms were only made in the Southeast? shocked I merely let him know other garment manufacturing companies with their own factories, who also produce similar things including uniforms, exist in other parts of the country! What is bad in that? huh Google up Sam and Sara Limited as well as International Uniforms, so that you can understand what I am talking about! sad

Proforce is NOT a manufacturing industry. They DO NOT manufacture trucks from scratch, they only strip down cars, weld armour and assemble. It is a service firm not an industrial production firm. Besides Proforce is NOT a wholly yoruba owned outfit.
