The Kogi State Government has revealed how two lecturers and another official of the Kogi State University siphoned over N100m from the coffers of the institution.

The state Auditor-General, Yusuf Okala, made the revelation when Governor Yahaya Bello visited the university to discuss various issues affecting the institution and how to reposition it for greatness.

He said one of the officials caught for committing the offence, Mrs. Adishetu Usman, was said to have been receiving a salary as an employee of Dekina Local Government Area and also a staff of the university.

Also, Dr. Solomon Adebayo, a lecturer in the university, was discovered to have received a double salary between March 2012 and 2015. While a former staff of the College of Education (Technical), Kabba, Mr. Usman Momoh, was said to have defrauded the state government to the tune of N98m while serving as pay officer of the college before joining the Kogi State University.

And we wonder why Nigeria needs to break up ASAP. If we divide people like these will start working and bringing real value to the table instead of being leeches on the system.

Get them arrested and do the needful.

Meanwhile, a woman's salary was stopped in that same state for returning 1.6m instead of the 1.8m having removed her outstanding salaries she was being owed and ended up bursting a plan to divert some amount by some high ranking ogas.

Yahaya Bello, you need to intervene to save the innocent woman from those greedy hawks.

What of the governor himself, how much has he embezzled from the state coffers?
