Fulani groups in Taraba State have allegedly commenced massive recruitment of armed militias in an effort for reprisal attack.

DAILY POST learnt that the Fulani groups rejected all efforts to make peace between them and the Mambilla people in Sarduana Local Government Area.

Following the crisis in the area, it was learnt that while the Mambilla leaders have continued to meet to find ways of resolving the crisis, the Fulani have stopped attending the peace meetings.

The source, who wished not to be named said, “This is the third time they are rejecting all attempts to sit with them at a peace meeting.

“If they are invited, they would say they are waiting for Miyetti Allah to tell them what to do. It means they don’t take any directives from the state government, but only from Miyetti Allah.

“And this is also after the governor (Darius Ishaku) had sat with all of them recently to fashion ways for peace. They agreed only Fulani to pull out.”

The source disclosed that the state government had been alerted of the alleged ongoing recruitment.

“There are only two percent Fulani on the Mambilla Plateau. They know they are outmatched but now they have to go recruit from outside. They went to one state in the North East to pick militias.

“They would also get reinforcements from Chad and Cameroon,” the source alleged.

Recall that the State Governor, Darius Ishaku had recently said he had intelligence reports of such attacks and had reported to the appropriate quarters.

Efforts to get the clarification from the State Police Command yielded no result as the spokesperson of the Command, Kwaji Joseph could not be reached on his mobiles. A text message sent to him was yet to be replied.

The indigenes should be alert, take Apostle Suleiman's instructions very seriously and get with the program to defend themselves. They should also be mindful of fake n compromised security agents that may want to disarm them under any guise and set them up for attacks.

Northern Nigeria moves from Violence to violence. From Herdsmen to pogroms against non-natives of Norths(Igbos) to Series of riots to Maistatine insurgency to Boko Haram back to Fulani herdsmen to Ombaste militia to Mambilla militia to Fulani fighters.

I don't pity anyone, if after all that these Fulani herdsmen have done Nigerians can not protect themselves from these murderers, then they deserve whatever they get.
